The people on reception were great we were made to feel very welcome and they was friendly. The hotel was in a great location. We had a room that overlooked the sea. The only issue was that the room looked outdated and felt a bit grotty for the price we paid. The shower worked but it wasn’t very good. The room was adequate and clean but we wouldn’t have wanted to stay there for more than one night. If your not too bothered about the room then I would recommend here

Ideal budget room in central Brighton. Decent bathroom. Clean double bed. Good supply of tea & coffee. Very quiet on a Tuesday night but imagine the club next door could get lively at weekends.

Staff were very friendly however the room was a little disappointing a bit tired and rather plain, bed was comfortable however our room suffered from noise from the bar downstairs and from the room above where other guests could clearly be heard pacing around due to poor sound insulation.

Slightly worried when we entered the room and saw complimentary ear plugs….. but they were needed!! Very noisy with street noises (single pane glazing and window lock didn’t work). Room upstairs had very noisy floors and we could hear everything happening up there. Reception staff seemed very friendly and helpful on check in and as we were coming and going throughout the stay. Just unfortunately the building was so noisy. We didn’t complain as it was issues outside of the staff’s control, but I’m sure they would have tried their best to help.

Close to the pier and beach, reasonable parking charges for the area.

Hotel was nice, staff were very nice and great value for money for a cheap over night in Brighton. Location was great too, with beach across the rd and the pier almost opposite. My only issue was the shower had very, very weak water pressure dispite being on max and the temperature control was frozen so the water was about room temperature! I only discovered the shower issues in the morning when I got up so not able to complain until I was checking out 30 mins later. Reception were polite and apologised, but if I was staying longer I would have demanded another room.

Staff really looked after my friend and I, nothing was too much and breakfast was great and young man who served us was so kind and helpful. Whenever I go to Brighton the Amsterdam Hotel will be my choice to stay.

Very good experience staff are lovely always prepared to go the extra mile.Discovered the restaurant on our last day would recommend the breakfast for value and service

Very close to the beach Mid week break, it was quite Hotel and room was clean Staff were friendly Bed was comfortable, had a good nights sleep Room was a nice size Bathroom was more like a wet room

Staff lack customer service skills, beds very uncomfortable with a lack of pillows. Rooms have no sound proofing, listening to a couple argue for the entire evening.

Nice sea views, friendly staff and convenient to all amenities. Comfortable bed , tea and coffee facilities a definitely plus. On the minus side , no available water bottles from hotel and weren’t aware there was a music bar just below so a bit noisy. They do offer ear plugs and what was worse was the bad singing from the bar lol

Good location for town and bars. Loud at night in the front rooms but this was not a surprise as they are over the bar area and earplugs are provided. Bathrooms need a refresh and windows need attention but overall a nice stay.

Looks grand on the picture but this is the entrance to the nightclub bar attached to hotel. Entry is via broad street to the right of the picture. Room needed a lick of paint. No toilet paper and had to run shower and hot tap for 15 mins to get any tepid water

Great location, walking distance to all areas, staff really friendly & helpful. I did get charged twice as booked through Expedia, but was very easy to sort out the refund and staff were very nice. Lovely short stay.

Worst hotel ever stayed in, the noise from the club was pumping till gone 3am. Defo avoid.

Location, staff and room layout were all fantastic. Unfortunately, cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom let it down somewhat. Definitely worth a return following a deep clean.
