Wonderful place and customer service

Wonderful hotel, staff, gardens and pool. Wifi is nonexistent in the rooms - Very frustrating.

Unfortunately our mountain view was completed blocked by dense forest so no Fuego view which is why we booked this property in the first place. I would consider booking directly with them as they can specify which room you actually get and not Russian roulette

The gardens and atmosphere are amazing! 10/10! Wonderful place to stay. Lower expectations about the staff with the restaurant and bar if you come from the USA, they move at a different pace, relative to the rest of Guatemala. So plan accordingly when ordering drinks and food, also don’t order directly from the bar, use the waitress/waiter the bartender will deliberately overcharge you for drinks. Again I highly recommend the hotel because it is amazing, just be aware and expect a relaxed service and atmosphere.

Lugar con jardines hermosos. Las habitaciones ya estan un poco viejas y recomendaria una remodelacion. Alimentos buenos en el restaurante pero poco caros. Staff muy amable y atento. Recomendaria algunas actividades para la noche, ya que no hay nada que hacer una vez que oscurece.

I enjoyed the property grounds with beautiful gardens, the pool was pretty and the view of the lake was fantastic. My room was clean and there were plenty of activities to do at the hotel or in walking distance.

I stayed at Hotel Atitlán, and honestly, it was just gorgeous. The views of the three volcanoes were absolutely breathtaking, and the gardens felt like this magical, winding maze. My room had this antique charm, and from the balcony, we could see the whole garden—it was so peaceful. The pool was lovely, and one of the highlights was a private boat tour we arranged. We visited islands where we learned about coffee, honey, and chocolate—so fascinating. Then we went to another island for zip-lining, with an incredible view at the top. We also took a canoe out on the lake, which was really calming. The breakfast buffet was amazing—so many options, and everything tasted fresh. The staff was nice, but I didn’t feel like they were quite as attentive as at the first hotel. They were still responsive, especially through WhatsApp, but when we had an issue with the shower water turning brown after a rain, they didn’t come right away. They just told us to run the water, but didn’t really explain what was happening. My friend did shower, but by the time the staff checked, the water was already clear. Even with that hiccup, the natural beauty and unique experiences made it unforgettable, and I’d still come back just for the scenery.

The grounds are absolutely incredible, you’re surrounded by the most beautiful garden with a variety of local birds as well as tropical exotic rescue birds like macaw and tucan. The views of the lake and the volcanos are amazing and to die for. The restaurant is delicious, breakfast buffet changes every day and has a variety of local cuisines and breakfast foods. The private dock is great to take day trips to different towns.

Incredible hotel - one of the best views ever, very stylish but according to local architecture and style and not very westernised (in a good way). The staff was super helpful, and nice! The music was great too - it was like a little oasis, we didn’t wanna leave the hotel. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed - the photos don’t do it justice !!!
