This hotel is a bit outside of the center of action for this tourist part of Andong, but its proximity to transportation for the areas outside of the city and even within the city are excellent. The rooms are clean, spacious and have good natural light. Although it is clear the hotel is a bit run down, it is still perfectly serviceable and provides a convenient, comfortable place to stay when exploring Andong and its surroundings. The owner created helpful maps to make travel and restaurant selection in the area easier. He is very helpful. I was quite pleased to stay in this hotel during my visit to the city.

We had booked two nights to explore Andong and the surrounds. The hotel was a bit of a shocker. "Loud" decor, to put it mildly, and our room was small and not very comfortable. Bed was hard, armchairs broken, there was an old broken water cooler, odd PC, small glass oven contraption to sterilise the glasses, TV played the programs on half size, bathtub was blocked, location was reasonably central but really quite grim. As for Andong itself, it was a huge disappointment. Partly because we are vegetarian and this was absolutely the hardest place (after 6 other locations in Korea) to eat, but also no bars and in general it felt soulless. Have never done this before, but despite having prepaid 2 nights, we quite the hotel after one and drove on to Daegu to make our planned 2 nights 3. This proved to be a very wise decision, we made extra pitstops en-route and could have spent four nights easily there. We enjoyed the Hahoe village near Andong, but other than that I don't recommend. Far more interesting places. As for the hotel, it was just a bit depressing and I can't recommend it, despite what I'm sure are the owner's best intentions.

This is good value for money. The property looks like it has been renovated. It was until a few yrs ago frequented by chinese and at that time the property has deteriorated at all levels: nouse, dirty etc...( that is what one of my korean friend told me) The staff were very helpful .We only stayed one night en rote to Hahoe village

An easy five minute walk from the train station brings you to this 5 storey hotel (with a lift, BTW). It is set back off the road on the left hand side with no appreciable traffic noise. The rooms are very clean with daily service if required. We spent a few dollars more for a better room. There is Air-Con, good Wi-Fi, Cable TV, some in English (e.g. BBC) and a large bathroom. Front counter staff are helpful and friendly. Walking distance to everything of interest in the immediate town (food streets, temples, museum, family shrine, old market, etc). Decoration is a bit 'unusual' but overall the Andong Park Hotel represents very good value.

It's an old hotel but had been re-decorated, so the room is decent. It's very clean in room and toilet. The front desk can speak a little English so there's no problem for communication. Most important is, the price is very cheap for this 4-flower rated hotel. Beyond this, don't expect too much for comparing other 3-stars hotels. I'll definitely choose this hotel if I come to Andong again.

A very friendly middle aged male receptionist, very eager to practice English and give tips about nearby attractions. Near the train station and has buses to many famous attractions in Andong.

Eearily quiet when I stayed 1 night...did not see another guest and barely saw any staff but it is low season, so understandable. Limited English at reception but enough to get a key and when looking at a map before heading out, was given a handy street map marked with local places and bus info to places to visit... Same as from the tourist Info. Room was large with a spectacular remote control which controlled the AC, TV, PC and probably the underfloor heating. Very convenient for the train station and city centre. The bus station is about a 10 min taxi ride.

The receptionist let us choose among three rooms upon our arrival, which was great considering we had two young children and were looking for the optimum arrangement of space and beds for all four of us (the internet posting of the hotel didn't fully explain the layout of the room we reserved). In the morning, the hotel serves an above average breakfast personally to you in the lobby, so it's well beyond the simple continental breakfast at many similarly-priced hotels. My only complaint about the service was that the lobby played the same two songs over and over both mornings we were there. We thought the staff would have tired of them long before. Location of the hotel is only marred by the railroad station across the street. Otherwise, it is a quick walk to the tourist part of town.
