My room was spacious, well equipped and clean. The full English breakfast was excellent, with plenty of drinks available. But best of all were the staff, who were eager to help with a smile.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean with fresh bedding and towels. The breakfast was very fresh and good quality. The bathroom was clean although there was brown discolouring of the shower sealant and the shower was not the best - it would fluctuate between high and low flow and boiling hot to cold. Situated in a pretty small town only 10 minutes drive to Longleat.

Room was tired but clean. Sadly it was also very smelly. There was a drain smell, which was very unpleasant. We reported that and a leaky radiator in the bathroom when we first arrived. Nothing was done about either so we had to leave a towel under the radiator as it was creating a puddle.

Room was nice and big. Staff were good and helpful. However the piping system needs work as when you flush or use tap there is a very loud creak noise meaning during the night it would wake us up. Also you can tell you were in a pub as could always here the music which is fine but just need to be aware of it. Bed comfy though and pub lovely for a drink in.

Pleasant room above a pub. Bed and shower were good but the walls were so thin I could hear conversations in adjacent rooms. People were friendly and breakfast was excellent.

Where to start! There was limited parking, no food on, the place was tired and unclean. We had booked & paid for 3 rooms but were only given keys for 2 rooms. Our Spanish visitors were too stunned to question why they had to share a room. When asked where they might get dinner they were directed to Tescos!

The Hollies is a nice village pub on the roadside. There is limited off street parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful, bar area has TV's showing (mostly) football. Bar is traditional and the menu is basic pub food but done well and plenty of it at a reasonable price. Our room was absolutely fine if not a bit dated but comfortable with lots of tea and coffee, biscuits and complimentary toiletries. Bathroom was a but tired but fully functional. We booked breakfast and got served a massive full English, no options! Fine for me but my wife would probably have had an egg on toast given the opportunity, so I had to eat most of her breakfast too! Good value for money and I'd stay again.

Ideally located for event I was attending, on quiet road. Rooms located above noisy pub, but it did close at approx 11pm.

Friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast was poor and £12.50 was overpriced for poor quality ingredients and very strange green topping on all ingredients.
