Very clean and friendly helpful staff! The food at the attached bar and grill was excellent!

I came in desperate to rest after a hot day in the sun. The staff was incredibly welcoming, understanding, and helpful. When I arrived I was almost too tired to answer questions, but they provided me a menu at the check in window, asked if I would like anything because the kitchen was closing soon. I ordered a meal and they brought me an ice water. It was amazing. I rested at the bar a little and then went to my room which was also simply but very well designed. I got up the next day, got my coffee from them as well and left. For the price I paid, this was 5 stars easily.

Great place to stay, a little off the beaten path (watch for potholes on the way in, it's a little rough) but the nicest folks, easiest check in, and simple but clean rooms. Never had any issues and have stayed here annually.

Quaint little lodge that had a beautiful view of a lake. We got to sit and watch Canadian geese. Ate dinner at the pub (was very good). Then we enjoyed a game of music trivia!

Very comfortable, with a good off-season price. Two issues: 1) Its in an isolated area and their bar & grill is not open Sunday and Monday. 2) No outlet near the table, which made working on my computer more difficult. Great outdoor area overlooking a pond, although you can hear Interstate traffic.

The hotel was nice enough, but our experience was not nice. 1ST understand that only 2 other cars were in the parking lot. I guess we asked for trouble by booking with hotels.com .we got a non view room, but good will opportunity was missed. Our first room 111,had a problem with the toilet leaking around the base after flushing. The parking lot was watery and instead of putting the floor mat in front of the door, it was put away from the door. Mud and water came in with us. On a wood floor that was bad. Our 2nd room was better. 112 had carpet and a much slower leak. UNFORTUNATELY the a/c unit was very loud and we unplugged it when shutting it off did not work. Overall an OK place, seems to be geared to winter. BTW the restaurant and bar are closed Sunday and Monday

The room was clean, but in need of updating. The staff was wonderful! And the food at the onsite restaurant was fantastic!

The room was very clean. Like Tony Soprano preparing for the FBI type of clean. The food and drinks in the pub were AMAZING. 10/10 the shrimp and grits were to die for. Our waitress was adorable. The bed was so comfy, lots of pillows. Good water pressure and hot water. The front desk girl was helpful and friendly. We definitely intend on returning.

The room is aging and could use some general updating but everything was functional. The beds sounded like they might break but they were comfortable enough to sleep though the night. Exactly what we needed as a family of 4 for 1 night.

We love this place and always visit when we get that way. Shay at the bar is awesome. The place is clean and the staff are great.

If you like being surrounded by nature (forest, lake) then this is a good place to spend a night or two. Overall is a good stay but don't expect any type of luxury or latest modern room amenities. Parking lot pavement needs some repairs. Staff was nice and amenable.

This property has the potential to be amazing, but right now it needs attention.

The staff was nice, but the room was just OK. The coffee maker was full of old water and the pot was dirty. The toilet wasn't secure to the floor. The beds were pretty darn old, and so were the comforters. The room was mostly clean, but you could tell everything had been used for years. I'm ok with a dated room, even find it nostalgic, but this place was pretty worn out. The dresser was missing the finish all the way across the bottom from years of use. The parking lot was pretty rough. I honestly wish the friendly staff well, but I will avoid this place in the future.

Booked this room last minute when weather forced me to change my plans. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but the place is extremely tired and run-down. You can tell this is where people party during the ski season. Carpets were very worn and questionably clean. While the major areas (toilet, bed) were clean enough, there was hair and dust on the floors along with holes and scuff marks on the walls. Room furniture is old and worn out, but functional. The bed was hard but served its purpose. I wish I would have spent the $30-40 additional dollars for a better room at a hotel.
