I love this place, and the well worn charm and history of it. The kids love the pool and I love the views. Not the most modern, but a true classic and a gem for the nostalgics and the romantics!

I´ve been here several times, always loved it. But since last visit they have changed the furniture etc in the living rooms, and some of the magic has disappeared. Small things that change a hotel from a magic one to a "standard" hotel.

Quiet. Excellent view. Very good breakfast. Excellent (table d'hôte only) dinners (we had venison one night and pepper steak the next). No lifts. As pensioners, being faced with carting bags up and down two flights of stairs was challenging. The hotel is tightly manned so (immediate) assistance would have been out of the question.

It's a historic hotel, very beautiful inside and outside. The local area is picturesque too, made lovely by a great number of wooden Swedish huts in walking distance. It's quiet and relaxing outside. I had a wonderful time walking around the hotel in the warm summer evening at sunset, taking pictures and enjoying fresh air. Inside, the reception area serves as a bar, and the sofas in the reception room are cosy for reading or sipping a cocktail. The lounge room next door is even better: the furniture is all historic and chosen with taste. The staff wears traditional Swedish dresses, which adds a nice touch. I would stay there again.

Helpful staff, unfortunately no convinient spot for traveling with a baby.

A perfect place to stay while visiting Dalarna and exploring the area. A charming, cozy and beautiful hotel with a fantastic view over Tällberg and Lake Siljan. The staff is very accommodating and the restaurant offers fine dining while serving traditional Swedish cuisine. The deluxe rooms with a balcony and view over the lake are well worth the extra money.

We initially booked a basic room in the self-standing building, but when we let ourselves in, it had not yet been cleaned. The hotel upgraded us to a lake-view room in the main building (with the pool and sauna), and it was very comfortable. The restaurant was great. I have many good sensitivities and the staff was very accommodating. The sauna and pool were nice too. We are looking forward to coming back here again, maybe in the summer when everything is green instead of white!

Det mesta var jättebra, fantastisk personal i incheckningen och restaurangen. Men vi undrar varför personalen hade stängt av en del av matsalen under frukosten? Det fanns ju inga lediga bord och några gick omkring och letade, då känns det irriterande att en hel avdelning var avspärrad med stolar. varför? Jag kan bara giss då jag själv jobbat både på hotell och restaurang; det blir mindre att städa. Om det är så kan man önska vem som är till för vem. Jag hade ingen body-lotion med mig, det brukar alltid finnas på rummet, men inte i rum nr 9. Jag såg sedan att det gick att köpa i receptionen så det fanns i samma märke som schampo och tvål, men inte på rummet. Då blir det även svårt att sälja något. I badrummet hade även en halkmatta i till badkaret varit bra, det brukar det finnas när det är ett badkar, tråkigt om någon halkar vid i-och-urklivandet, särskilt för äldre. PÅ dörren fanns fyra ställen med häftmassa efter en brandutrymningsskylt, den låg nu på ett packbord. Vet inte om det är okej, men om de ska ligga där, ska då häftmassa vara kvar på dörren? Skylten hade legat där länge, för häftmassa hade fastnat på bordet. Det såg liksom inte omhändertaget ut. Annars var allt toppen!! mvh/Ingegerd
