Fun property but getting check in info required multiple calls, emails, and eventually Hotels.com intervention. Shouldn't be that much work by the guests to confirm check in and get a door code.

It was an experience to stay in a small cell. Nice bed and great breakfast. Wifi was not good in room. And there was also no curtain which made it very bright in the room early morning.

My stay was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prison cell room was very unique. It was small but the room and bathroom were very clean.

Mycket trevlig personal, plus för ett fin kök med kylskåp för boende. Mycket bra frukost i en fin matsal, rent och snyggt över allt. Det kändes som personalen hade koll på alt, alltid färskt kaffe med små kakor till, alltid bortplockat från borden inget skräp någonstans. Det är sällan man ser det idag :-) Stor parkering utan kostnad, mycket nära till centrum.

Rummet var en före detta fängelsecell och därför litet och mörkt, med bara en liten fönsterglugg högt uppe vid taket. Badrummet var dock normalstort och allt på hotellet upplevdes nyrenoverat och fräscht. Frukosten hade ett utbud som motsvarar vad man får på större hotell och den serverades i en trevlig matsal. Personlig service av personalen. Gratis kaffe när jag checkade in. Prisvärt.

Among the very few hotels in Västervik, this one is maybe the only one that deserves attention. The scary looking building and the dark history should not fool you, it's very modern and tastefully renovated to sort of alternative hotel. The larger rooms are quite OK, not claiming much luxury but very well furnished and super comfortable. The staff is great! The breakfast is standard but very good and quite enjoyable, as well as the common spaces around. Really interesting place, absolutely deserves a visit.
