The hotel welcomed us after a same-day reservation due to an issue with another hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The apple strudel and breakfast were delicious. It was raining, but if the weather had cleared, our view would have been wonderful! Hope to return!

Modern updates in a rustic looking hotel. Very quiet, clean and the food was delicious. Fabulous Swabien breakfast, luscious wine offerings with tasty dinner. Would highly recommend staying here.

Great location overlooking Ettal. Nicely furnished rooms, a solid breakfast offering, and a nice outdoor area. The restaurant was closed for a renovation, so did not get an opportunity to experience it.

Perfect breakfast and friendly helpful staff! Amazing views from the large balcony!!!! The area is magical! Our room was smaller than we expected based on the website photos.

Beautiful location, great room, and fantastic breakfast. Dinner location is dark but good food.

The view down onto the little village of Ettal, the monastery, and the surrounding mountains was beautiful. The balcony, adorned with flower boxes, was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The spätzle was tasty. This is a nice hotel.

Beautiful hotel with incredible staff!

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful tiny village in Germany! Super clean and staff are very friendly. They also spoke English which was great since my German is pretty bad. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

I have notheing but good things to say about this Hotel. The hotel, staff , resturaunt, parking, location. Everything was amazing and the best place we stayed at during our two week trip through Germany.

If you looking for a genuine German Hotel, this is it!!! Ive traveled Germany for 40 yrs and this is one great hotel and the location is outstanding overlooking Ettal. Great restaurant and breakfast. I will be back once in the area.

The hotel is beautiful, the location is wonderful, the views were outstanding. Being very pet friendly was also important to us. Would love to stay there again.

The room was very small and bunk beds were placed in line with no fan when temperatures were very hot

Old world charm, timber frame stucture. Only 10 minutes to Linderof Palace. Wonderful buffet breakfast included. Friendly staff

Gorgeous views, clean rooms. Just be aware there is no air conditioning so we slept with the windows open. Some of the restaurant crowd was loud.

Hotel is located in a beautiful area! Facility was very clean in all public areas and room. Staff extremely courteous and professional. Highly recommend this traditional German hotel!
