This is a beautiful, boutique hotel and we enjoyed every minute of our stay (2 nights). The interior of this old, renovated, immaculately maintained building is stunning. Our room was large and had a king size bed and fireplace and huge walk in shower. There was a sitting area between our room and our friends' which was very convenient for socializing. There is a complimentary Continental breakfast but you can, also, get a full breakfast ordered from the menu (at a cost). The meal is served in the lovely courtyard on the ground floor. We would like to thank Arturo for all is help and advice. He made our stay a pleasure. The hotel is a short walk from the main plaza/church and lots of good restaurants. If we return to Tapalpa, we will rebook Casona de Manzano and highly recommend.

This hotel has a very charming and colonial atmosphere. The old hacienda make you taste a little piece of colonial Mexico with modern amenities. My girlfriend and I loved our stay. Many nice touches since our arrival, including the personalized welcoming letter together with wine and fruit. We certainly will stay there again.

I loved the way staff welcomed us. Also everything was nice and clean, we will be back!!

Place is awesome but you cannot sleep at night due to extremely noisy streets.

Beautiful and clean hotel right in town, welcoming staff

The location, architecture style and history of the property and town are the best example of the area. The landscape and mountains are stunning, particularly at this time of year, as the country side is full of flowers. the people in the hotel are very friendly and helpful, the service is excellent.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff do not speak English but were very helpful. We spent two nights here in July 2018. Breakfast was continental but had fresh baked sweet breads, yoghurt, fruit, and beverages. The were rain showers the second night, so we took advantage of the in-room fireplace. This hotel is great for a couples get-away. Wi-fi in-room was slow but the couch outside the room provided full speed.
