The front desk people are friendly and very helpful. They speak English so no problem with communication. The facility is clean too. Only down side is there is no bidet.

The place is so noisy. Not a good place to rest. Though it's just near the train station.

Recommended! An Affordable and nice place to stay near the mrt. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The common area is huge and well decorated. I found it a bit annoying when the toilet and shower room are separated. We have to walk pass the lobby to go shower. There're bed sheet, duvet with duvet cover provided. the pillow(without the case) is also provided. We're all fine with that but people with sensitive skin or allergy should bring yours. Towels are for sale at 45TWD. Anyway we have a good time there and will be back later! :)

The facilities are complete. The location is good because its near to many historical sights in the district. Surely, I will recommend this to others.

We booked a room for 7 people. When we checked in, we refused our stay because we took the baby. Since we didn't live for us, should we refund the money to us? Still want us to lose 7 people's money in vain?

Duckstay was a great place to stay if you're on a budget, although the location wasn't as great as other hostels on here, it makes up for having a lot of personal space in each of the bunk beds that you can book. There were blinds to ensure your privacy while also having plug points and night lights if you need to charge your devices or read. The common area is also very well equipped and makes for a wonderful place to meet people from other countries with the couches, board/card games, darts machine, projector/speakers. At the common area there's also the kitchen which is fully equipped with stoves and etc so you can cook if you wish to. The only flaw would be the separation of the toilets and the bathrooms, the former is on the same floor as the dorms while the latter is near to the common area, this might be the only issue with Duckstay. All in all, if you're looking to explore the lesser known parts of Taipei, Duckstay is perfect for that as it's in the Mangka district with old temples and wet markets in abundance waiting for you to explore.

Towels and toothbrush will be for rent so you better to carry yours. Except shampoo and shower gel boxes got stuck, everything was perfect for me. The room was quite. The locker was big enough to put my luggage. Highly recommend for backpackers.

I have no better word to describe it, near to excellent night market, a many exit MRT, flea market, a well known temple area, good bus route, good facilities, you just need to try it for the real taste. I think I am hooked to the hub.

The hostel was really nice. It's too hipster for me though. It's not their fault, everything there was good. I guess I'm just too old for a place like that.
