The staff were incredibly supportive, courteous and friendly. The dining areas and the quality of the food and service were excellent.

The hotel had wonderful old-world charm, the staff was great! The room could have been better. I understand a lot of Europeans don't use AC but at least have a fan in the room, or at least screens on the windows so you can leave them open at night. All hotels should have blackout shades in the 21st century, this was a missed opportunity.

Staff and hotel were fantastic. Really nuce area. Unfortunately walls are paper thin. I could hear a conversation next door clear as day.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was very comfortable, dinner was delicious and so beautiful! We loved being able to walk on the palace grounds and saw the most gorgeous sunset over the water. We enjoyed everything about our stay.

Location is ideal. The complimentary breakfast is very good, plenty of variety and choices. The hotel has a certain charm which is most enjoyable. The staff are very positive and friendly. Regarding the breakfast a plain baguette would be a welcome addition. The only real negative is that when there is a function or special event it does get very noisy.

The floors in the bathroom are so slippery , really dangeres, and window could not stay open because everything to hold them vere broken off, but the bed was vey good. Don’t even talk about the breakfst , not enough tablesand they ran aut of food and cooffe, could just not keep up wit the people there were there

Everything was as good as last time apart from the internet which was slow so it was difficult to reply or get any information from hotels.com. why should it be so difficult to a loyal member

Family trip for a birthday. Beautiful hotel old hotel with lovely surroundings (palace / gardens). Excellent breakfast. Quite expensive!

Although we are like family with the staff now, there were two days with no housekeeping - so our wet towels left on shower floor are what we had to use on two occasions. Gross and inconvenient, especially at these prices. When we returned to our room and realized this, there was no one around to assist.There aren't suitcase stands in the room, so everything had to placed on the floor. Why not provide them? No extra bed pillows - just decorative ones with stains on them. There is no one to reach out to once reservation area closes, which is early. You are on your own. No vending machine to simply get a bottle of water (the bar has them for a hefty price). Nice staff and great breakfasts. Beds fairly comfortable. Room is clean. Would recommend, but know this a lovely old building, with newer sections. The restaurant gets our highest rating, and the prices are very high, however the food is outstanding. Make friends with the staff. They are helpful, but catch them during business hours.

I have learned loyalty comes with a price. I use to go back to Fredensborg store kro every time I am back in Denmark for business, however my last two stays was experienced with a price to it...It has simply become too pricy compared to other hotels nearby. ...I will check the offering before I go next time, if the same again, I will be staying elsewhere...It´s a shame, thus i really like this hotel.

The room, bed and bath were terrible. Way over priced, look elsewhere
