It was a great find for us! Amazing spot, great people, very good breakfast options in a charming dining area. You can have your breakfast in and out-doors. We didnt take dinner at the ai erge but i bet it was delicious! Next time we are definitely asking for dinner.

The room was clean and had many unique details. The kitchenette was a bonus. The owners were friendly helpful and professional. The garden was large with numerous places to sit. I would recommend this place to anyone

All facilities well set up to highest level, and service could not have been better. Restaurant was 4 star. Beautiful lobby and grounds. Management & staff best occurred during our month in France.

the Auberge was picturesque with plenty of room and chairs to sit around in the well kept large garden. There was some traffic noise and there is a railway line close by - but overall not a major problem. The room had two armchairs - a definite bonus! A really good breakfast. We were however generally disappointed in the food at dinner - the menu was expensive compared to many other Logis we have stayed in - and they appeared to be aiming for making each dish as complicated as possible - (even the humble bread roll was accompanied by a beetroot butter - which really didn't look or taste at all pleasant!) My sea bream was deep pink in the middle still - also which didn't look or taste pleasant. I felt that a lot of effort had been put into 'exciting new food combinations' but a well cooked fish would have been appreciated much more. Being a learner - I had trouble following instructions in the room getting on to their WiFi and asked for help from two of the staff - neither was able to help . Some hours later a guest kindly did. It would have been nice if another member of staff had been sent to help

Great place with large garden. Good breakfast, and excellent dinner. A short drive into Amboise. The only negative was our GPS took us the long way.

This French Countty Inn was just a few 5-8 minutes drive to Amboise and centrally located to several Châteaus including the famous Château du Chenonceaux. Staff was excellent and friendly. Very nice simple breakfast.

Located about 10 mins from Amboise, in the countryside. Rooms are comfortable and very clean although a bit lacking in imagination. The hotel has a large garden with a pergola for sitting out for a drink or just sit back in one of the deckchairs and read a book. The main reason for staying here has to be the excellent restaurant and, weather permitting, you can dine outside. Very good breakfasts as well.

Well located for visiting Loire chateaux. A friendly staff, even though their English isn't very good, who provide helpful service. A beautiful setting where you can have drinks or dinner in the garden.

Rooms Ned updating and either a fan or air conditioning. Restaurant and food was faultless, and shortcomings of rooms and rest of service were more than compensated for by the quality of the food and restaurant service

We had problems with our room. It smelt very musty. We asked to have our room changed. They said since we booked through Expedia we were given a reduced rate and if they changed our room it would be an extra 17€ a night We should have probably bit the bullet, because we both ended up getting head colds. During the first few days we and our friends saw ants in our room. We thought nothing of it, but on the morning of our departure we woke up to find ants all over the desk, the chair, under our luggage and the bathroom floor Not a few, but hundreds. We reported it with photos to the staff, but they barely responded with "oui and thank you." We have travelled extensively and are not complainers!!!!

Auberge De Lunay is situated in a quiet country area not far from Amboise. It is ideally situated for travelling to visit the Chateaus in the Loire region and the wineries in the region. Our hosts were very pleasant and the restaurant at the hotel is exquisite.

We returned here for an overnight stop after staying previously for 3 nights a couple of years ago. This latest stay was excellent, exactly as we had expected. The staff were friendly and attentive, the hotel itself and our room presented impeccably and the food in the restaurant, first class. We look forward to our next visit.

This is a very pretty, relatively small and quaint French inn with a top-notch restaurant for dinner and available breakfast. It's relatively convenient to Amboise, which was the base of our activity for our stay there.

We stayed for one night only, had a wonderful meal, and had to leave the next morning. Castles nearby, so we left early to see one at opening time - 9 am. Could not have been more pleased - very clean and comfortable!

The bedroom was very spacious with a lovely comfortable seating area for watching t.v. plus a standard reading lamp. Bedding and bed were both excellent and the hotel provided 3 pillows each (this is rare). There were many thoughtful touches in the room and bathroom such as shaving mirror, room for toiletries to be stored, plenty of hooks for bathrobes etc and good clothes hangers in the wardrobe. Plenty of storage space too. We also liked the opportunity to sit outside the room for a sundowner. We had an upstairs garden room, but there were ground floor rooms available as well for the less mobile. The garden rooms face into the back of the hotel and some of the front rooms might have traffic noise from the nearby main road. The food in the restaurant was very good, if a little pricy. Our only complaint was that the meat was served with a mere tablespoon of vegetables, more for decoration than anything and it was insufficient to accompany excellent lamb. The fantastic beef steak was served with a stick of polenta the size of a fish finger and half an asparagus. The dessert and cheeseboard were excellent. Wine list very expensive. Service was good. Overall, we would return. The hotel is a little tricky to get to, as the turn is very sharp off a busy road. Two car parks, one a bit further away from the hotel building.
