The grounds grounds well kept. Our room was adorable. Had a lot of character. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was updated for such a historic home. I can't say enough about the breakfast provided very tastefully done. A Lot of small touches. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is convenient with the ability to walk down to the river and and restaurants

Lived and worked down the street at another popular Sydenham st b&b for years but I cannot believe it took me so long to see the Hochelaga. Staff were amazing, the entire property was spotless and well maintained, and the rooms were absolutely amazing. Hochelaga stands out as the best b&b on Sydenham st 👀♥️

Loads of character in this old inn. Much more charming than staying in a regular hotel. Staff were great and the 'continental breakfast' was a step above the normal 'bun and coffee' offered at other hotels.

Staff are very kind and thorough. This is a historic home that is very clean and the location is great. Parking is for a limited number of cars but there is plenty of street and a city parking lot in very close proximity. Room size was very small and door/lock is old and can be tricky to use. The morning continental breakfast has nice options with the options of purchasing a sit down breakfast for a bigger appetite. The coffee sits in a carafe but is cold so that was disappointing for a morning coffee drinker.

Beautiful building, good location 10min from centre of town and from waterfront. Room was well presented and spacious. Nice toiletries provided and bottled water and sone chocolates in room. Lovely continental breakfast and all day tea/coffee/hot choc station plus pastries/muffins available. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Very responsive on the Expedia app for messages. Room was so cool and classic! Neighborhood felt very safe, lovely walk to Queens. They let us leave bags after check out then return and have a cup of tea while we were waiting for our uber. Very classy! My only minor issue was coffee - there’s no hot coffee til 7am; pods were available before then but only French vanilla or decaf when I went at 6am. FYI if you need caffeine like me!

Really great place to stay. Some addition though: Since the building is old, you can hear people walk outside of your room, so be aware if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise, great breakfast, beautiful atmosphere, and good rooms

Lovely historic Inn with character. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was just right with a selection of pastries (croissants etc.), toast or bagel, fruit cups, yogurt, cheese and meats. The room was comfortable with great windows. We had coffee in the garden or porch. Also a great area to walk around, see Queens campus and walk to many stores and restaurants. Book here if you want a place with history and charm over big busy hotels. Some covered parking and parking across the street that is free after 5pm and weekends.
