The perfect landing spot in Negombo, close to the airport to rest after a long journey. The family room was super spacious and comfortable, the pool was fantastic, and the owner and staff super welcoming and accommodating, including booking us into a memorable lagoon tour that evening. The only piece of feedback is to more clearly indicate the Villa Name at airport pickup, as we had some slight challenges in finding our driver and had not yet sorted out our phone connections. But ultimately we found each other and arrived safely at the property.

The property has lush gardens. The plants are labeled. Just a beautiful gem.

Great find. A little out of the way so you are a little reliant on them in terms of food… however the food is wonderful and so that was a plus. Great team, good value and good values in terms of how the owners treat their employees

Lovely well kept grounds and spacious clean villas. Nice pool and other activities basketball badminton. Owner kindly let me have a late checkout as my flight wasn't till 8pm. Not much in immediate area but tuktuks can be arranged and selection of restaurants deliver to property. Highly recommend for a night at start or end of trip.

We had a wonderful few days at this hotel. The pool and gardens were wonderful. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Spent my birthday at Villa Shade. Mr. Shiraj, was so kind to have me checked in so early because my flight arrived in the midnight. He make sure that I am comfortable within my stay. He arranged a tuktuk to drive me around beginning and arranged ayurvedic full body massage at Jasmine Villa which is so relaxing. His staff were friendly and always smiling. A traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was prepared when I woke up which is good. Thank you for a relaxing and wonderful stay.

We only were able to stay one night, we wished that we had more time. Stunning property carefully run by a husband and wife who clearly enjoy and love their business. "If you're happy they're happy" very tentative and helpful in every way. The rooms are very nice, clean, comfortable and it's in a quiet area, highly recommend!

I stayed at Villa Shade on a quick stopover on my way to India. It was lovely. The hosts and staff were kind, keen to help but also gave me my privacy. This is the perfect spot to just chill and lay by the pool, sit in the beautiful gardens and read. The power went out in the main house so I was moved t a self contained villa. Very comfortable and private. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at villa shade very much. It is a bit far from town and there is nothing to do in the area. Perfect for relaxing by the pool or in the garden. Very helpful staff. Recommend the take a way food just down the road, the staff will advise you and take you there. It would be good if they sold some snacks and drinks which may encourage visitors to mingle in the common area with perhaps some books and travel guides. Overall highly recommended

We only stayed for one night just before catching our flight, but we received such a warm welcome from Shiraj and his team, who took great care of us throughout our stay. The villa is clean, with a lovely pool perfect for relaxing and is located just 20 minutes from the airport. The property is very well maintained. Thank you!

Meget dejligt sted. Shiraj var meget hurtigt til at vende tur på spørgsmål samt arrangere lufthavn-pickup inden vi ankom. Stedet er meget roligt og perfekt til lige at “lande” efter en lang flyvetur. Stedet her egen køkkenhave og vi fik rigtig lækker morgenmad og aftensmad. Shiraj og han team er meget serviceminded og opmærksomme på, at man han det godt. Desværre havde vi en kedelig episode den sidste aften, hvor en person prøvede at stjæle vores ting gennem et vindue, men vi opdagede ham heldigvis og fik han skræmt væk uden, at det lykkedes ham at stjæle noget. Det var ikke lige det, vi havde drømt at vi skulle starte ferien med :-(. Shiraj håndterede situation meget seriøst og sørgede for at hans folk ville holde vagt resten af natten. Derudover ville arbejde på at finde ud af hvem det kunne være der havde gjort det. En ide kunne dog være at opgradere sikkerheden på hotellet.

Spacious en clean villa's. Very friendly staff. It really feels like you are visiting family. Great food (nice breakfast en delicious dinner!). Nice swimming pool. Good place to start or end your trip in Sri Lanka.

Stayed at this great place with my wife and two daughters. Villa Shade has excellent service and is in an amazing calm area close to Negombo city. Walk, run or borrow bicycles to get to town or Negombo beach. Or simply stay in the clean pool within the premises, play basket or badminton.

Het complex heeft meerdere soorten luxe huisjes die zeer compleet en schoon zijn, de eigenaar en het personeel zorgen dat het je nergens aan ontbreekt. Het zwembad was heerlijk. We hebben een mooie rondleiding gekregen door de groente, fruit en kruidentuin. Het ontbijt is er heerlijk en er wordt fruit uit eigen tuin geserveerd.Ook heeft de eigenaar oog voor het milieu en probeert hij te verbeteren waar dit mogelijk is!

Great place to get your bearings in Sri Lanka. The owner was very helpful in everything: sights, arranging dinner and taxis. Personnel was very helpful and breakfast was great.
