The hotel was excellent! Clean, eco friendly, staff very polite, and wonderful location. We wish we could stayed longer. We had yoga class in the morning, massage and breakfast, then we had to go to our next destination. Check in could have been a little faster.

Xandari Pearl is a great Hotel for Marari Beach..it has pathway that goes straight to the beach. The room I had was a mini villa with a small garden and hammock. The only thing to be aware is that the toilet and shower is enclosed but open to the outdoors so may take getting used to. Also no TV in the room but wifi was fast and stable. Buffet breakfast was included which was very good, freshly made eggs and dosas every morning with a wide selection of local and international fare. There is not much in the area in terms of other restaurants or amenities, so lucky the hotel restaurant is very good although some may say slightly pricey - about 20+ GBP ( 1600-2000 rupees ) per night for rice, rotis and seafood curry with dessert. The beach has small cafes where you can have lunch for about 500 rupees ( rice curry and drinks ) but by 6.30pm the beach closes as the sun sets. Aleppey and the famous waterways are about 30 mins away by taxi so it's convenient for that. Staff was very helpful and friendly, everything was clean and well maintained. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend it as I plan to go back myself! :)

Our stay at the Pearl was inspirational. We read, practiced yoga, went for walks, ate delicious meals, explored the back waters and learned to cook curry dishes. Other activities are available: cycling, sand volleyball, swimming, ping pong, and watching the sunset on the beach. The staff was so helpful and the chef made some tasty meals. Recommended.

We cannot emphasise enough how superb our stay here was ...so much so that we cancelled another hotel to return there on the second week of our holiday in Kerala. The welcome and service from the staff was warm and sincere . The accommodation and surroundings were perfect offering privacy and comfort . Food here is outstanding and the chef is top notch. He even made a special dessert of rice pudding for us when we told the waiter we had tried it somewhere else and enjoyed it ...and we have to say it was far better . We also took advantage of the Spa massage services and felt it was such an invigorating treat. The Xandari is by the beach and we enjoyed walks along coastline looking at the fishing boats . The Arabian Sea can be rough but we still had a good swim on a couple of days . Thomas on reception could not be any more helpful and professional . We cannot recommend the Xandari Pearl enough and look forward to having a return holiday there.

Mararikulam is an unexplored town by travellers, which makes it even more attractive. The beaches are clean and peaceful. The people are helpful and kind. The place is lush green and has a completely laid back attitude that encourages one to relax.

Definitely the best beach resort in Kerala (property with a real beach). Do opt for the rooms with the private pool. Food is surprisingly good for a boutique hotel like this. Try the fresh catch preparations. We had planned to go out and eat meals, however the food was so good we ended up eating at the resort all the meals.

This has to be one of the best resorts my husband & I stayed in EVER! As everywhere else the staff are so friendly in India but the manager & staff all went the extra mile here.Wifi connectivity-constant and good. We had a cookery demonstration of local food, ask if you'd like one, staff are happy to give you the recipe, at the moment they are waiting on an alcohol license but it wasn't a huge inconvenience, they are hoping for it to be in place around December. Allepy is a tuk-tuk ride away with the famous river boat experience, the hotel were more than happy to do the communication for you to fix a price. I could list more but suffice to say it was amazing. Great place to relax, kick back & do nothing...
