Friendly staff👍

The staff at this hotel were lovely- friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and the rooms comfortable. My room was spacious and clean. The only areas for improvement- my mattress felt a little old and worn. Also as cyclists it would have been good to have cover for our bicycles during our stay. Roufy our breakfast provider was really delightful and so helpful, as was Alan on reception. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Nice hotel for the price, the breakfast is a bit dated and over cooked. Bar food is fantastic thou.

The staff were welcoming, friendly helpful from the moment we arrived. The lovely pool was a bonus, as were the 2 lounges. The bar served excellent food at both lunchtime and in the evening. It's advisable to book a table as it's popular with the locals as well as hotel guests. The are bus stops close by, and is on a direct route to the airport. The ferry terminals are about 20-30 mins walk away. Exceptionally service throughout and I'd be very happy to stay at the Grange Lodge Hotel again.

Big and airy room was ideal for a relaxed stay. I doubted the advice of the chap at reception on the restaurant getting very busy but he was absolutely correct so I was pleased to get a table for some very decent pub grub. Nice breakfast too.

Excellent food

Would highly recommend this delightfully old fashioned hotel. Loved everything about it.

Very historic building with almost everything still original, dating from 1815. Excellent customer service, clean rooms, plenty of food choices. Relaxed atmosphere.

Room was clean and tidy and hotel breakfast was great ! Parking to front was helpful and so were the staff. I used the bar for evening meals and was pleased with selection of menu and food quality, My visit was to early for the outside pool but will be back later in the year to make good use of it. Thanks for a nice stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good with a wide choice, room was clean and comfortable, I had a long wait though until my room was ready but I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others

Nice hotel clean but a bit dated, mattress's very soft, not the best sleep. Lovely gardens and swimming pool. The bar serves lovely meals reasonably priced. Nice walk into the centre, but hilly coming back. Would stay there again.

This hotel has a very interesting historical background with all the comforts one expects at a nice hotel. The staff is friendly and receptive to any requests. The room we stayed in was clean, well taken care of by housekeeping and had updated and modern bathroom and lighting/appliances. very nice and comfortable common areas, clean looking pool. excellent included breakfast, continental breakfast as well as hot breakfast made to order. Friendly kitchen staff as well. Also the food at the bar attached to hotel is excellent as well. Convenient location near bus stops, but you will need to take a bus or other transportation back from town unless you want to walk up hill! But the bus stops. Ear the hotel are near several bus lines so you won’t have a problem finding a ride back. The hotel could use some ramps as there are some steps and long corridors, even on the ground floor areas. Overall wonderful stay. Will stay here again and recommend to others.

Great place to stay

Lovely stay for one night. Fab breakfast. Comfortable, clean room and lovely, warm shower. Beautiful, well kept gardens and very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Good location for town and very reasonably priced.

Very old and run down property that needs loads of TLC

The hotel was a perfect location, within walking distance to the town. The hotel was clean, all staff we met were friendly, nice big room, bed reasonably comfortable, great shower. I would say the rooms are rather dated , but that didn't bother us... & we had a very damp smelling room.. I thought the smell would go once the windows were opened.. It didn't. I didn't mention it as I wouldn't have wanted to move, but this was the only downside for me. If you eat in the hotel, there is a lot of choice, & beware the portions are HUGE! Breakfast is quite early, finishing at 9.30am(but it got us up& out)& is cooked to order with continental options too. There is an outside pool, which we used once, very cold, but ok once you're in. We were going to go shopping, as there are many lovely shops.. unfortunately we left it until the last day, Sunday &turned out most shops are closed😕 We had 2 really nice days, so we took the ferry(30 mins) to a little island Herm.. which is beautiful to walk around(says it takes 2 & half hours, but reckon you'd have to be hiking it& not stop to look at anything) . Has lots of gorgeous white sandy beaches, 2 which have cafes. One thing we did notice about anywhere we went, it was all so clean & tidy. We only had 5 nights, could have definitely have spent longer, so hope to visit again soon 😎
