My feedback is in no way a reflection of the staff who in the morning especially struggled to keep a high standard working on her own.
First, my bad, I didnt realise there was no lift and being in our very late 60s the first floor was still an effort to get to. The room was fine, bathroom tighter than our regular B&B in Chartres.
We decided for our second final morning to have, what we had come to expect, a good filling breakfast before our 3 hour drive home. Now I would have thought knowing how many breakfasts were booked extra staff would be called in. Not have 3 cleaners on one floor. This caused issues, no trays, no cups, no teaspoons, coffee running out, orange juice running out. A very bare selection compared to the photgraphs on the website, in fact nothing like at all. Scrambled eggs warm, a few pieces of bacon in oil, no sausages in fact no heated bowl for them at all. The bread display photograph is misleading completely. Certainly well overpriced with products missing. Again the lady on her own tried her best. I certainly wasted the money for 2 breakfasts that were way below the standards we have had before at B&B. Unfortunately definately one we will avoid later this year. Same price as Chartres there the comparaison ends.
Following the reply from the hotel... the lack of products was the issue.. the advert photos no way reflected the missing products during our visit and a 9am breakfast. Serious staff shortage.. ie 1 member of staff with 3 cleaners on 1 floor?
