Great cottage in a perfect location. Moreover, you can learn about Gold panning which is an onsite activity as the place used to be a place for gold seekers.

I stayed in the cabin with a friend for a couple of nights and did some gold digging across the road. The cabin was neat and served our purpose. The camping washroom facilities ok but the shower could use some improvements. The restaurant had really good food!

Great staff. Shower/bathroom was small and difficult to take shower if you were tall. Clean, basic accommodations. Would stay again for an overnight if in the area.

Great to be in cabins in nowhere in middle of Finnish snowy winter. In summer probably a little tacky next to fake Gold Mine town. Bathrooms are communal and have ventilation and plumbing issues. Food is excellent, prices are great.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was also warm and cosy. During the stay in the hotel, we managed to see the northern light! Thankful that we stayed in the hotel. The food was also great and nice!

Cottage was like was like were said on page, bed was comfy, there should be have better pictures from cottage on page tho. Fireplace was awesome and romantic. We did sausages and marshmallows there. Area was cozy and quiet middle of nothing as we wanted. We were traveling with own car so was easy to go example to Saariselkä. Service on place was friendly and home like and I really liked it. Because we travelled on wintertime place was really quiet from other quests. Summertime this place is more busy for sure. It was sad that we didn’t saw northern lights but it’s not place fault. :) breakfast was 10e, and really homemade. We loved reindeers there, Lumi and Urho really made our day there. Recommended this place everyone who want to be in quiet and basic and near nature like place. I want to go there again on summertime.

I stayed in one of the wooden cabin which are moderate equipped but that was the appeal of the place. Living close to nature with no modern frills. The place has a good heater so it was comfortable warm and there is a open fire place you can use. There are nice walking trails starting there or in the closely area and of course the gold museum and some other attractions of former times. The staff is very helpful and always open for a chat. You can get tasty local food as well. What does one need more to have a good time?

We started our honeymoon in Tankavaara Gold Village. We stayed there for three nights. It was overall a very great experience to me as I had never stayed in a cottage before. The size of the cottage is good enough for a couple, nice, warm and very clean. Although I thought there would be a kettle inside the cottage. The kitchen wasn't far away from the cottage at all, so it was okay. We got to see the Northern lights twice, on our first and third nights during our stay. Marko and Samo were very friendly, and were very responsive to email enquiries. The food there were very delicious, especially the reindeer beef burger with bacon. The prices of the food were very reasonable. The hotel itself has its own character, and the location is just perfect for guests who are looking for somewhere close to the nature. It's a fantastic stay for us. the bathroom and toilet were generally clean as I was the only one using it as it was low season. But for the kitchen, it could be a bit cleaner. However, they have all kinds of utensils you need for cooking, so convenient. airport pickup was very reasonably priced compare to other hotels. So much easier than to catch a bus. Highly recommend! As it's a gold village, of course we had to try gold panning.nThis is what you can't miss when you stay there I think!

The village may be quite small, but the atmosphere is simply fantastic. The staff there is very friendly, they had also sent us information on the activities they could help to arrange before we arrived there. They also helped to arrange a guided tour to the Gold Museum nearby, which does worth a visit. The restaurant there is very good too, except that there are too many reindeer dishes (this is a common problem in Lapland anyway...) The village is also a very good place if you are looking for northern lights, there is nearly no light pollution, and we were able to see the lights during the first night of our stay. Would recommend everyone to stay there for at least 1 to 2 days, but make sure you have got everything you need before getting there, as the nearest supermarket is kilometers away.

4 person cabin was warm, clean and very cozy ❤️ Customer service was very friendly! The shared showers were not very inviting, which was the only minus at the place, but the sauna facilities were very nice and löylyt were perfect! Warmly recommend renting the wood burning sauna after walking at the paths in the National park, UKK🥰
