I think they don’t really welcome foreigners. I’ve been to lots of onsen ryokans and almost all of them were pretty nice that has good service and food.
This one, I think they are a bit pricey for the quality of food, service and onsen.
FOOD- was pretty normal, basically a pot with pork and vegetables as main (very normal) sashimi were fresh and nice, but the other dishes weren’t up to standard. You get white rice at last, plain rice.
SERVICE- was pretty bad I would say, I feel like we weren’t really welcome because we were foreigners. I understand Japanese culture because I live in Tokyo, but I really feel that I’m not respected this time.
YUKATA- when I book this ryokan on Jalan, many said that they were happy because they let you choose from different yukata designs. But unfortunately we haven’t been provided the information as to how to retrieve them, and that is free or not, or any other information. This I’m just disappointed.
ONSEN - normal onsen, old facilities, blow dryer etc
STAFF- dinner staff: rude, front desk also rude, didn’t tell us about WiFi, and when we asked, it didn’t work, so we go back and one of the staff just said it only works in some places in the hotel, without saying sorry or giving me other solutions.
WiFi- don’t expect for good WiFi.
Not sure if they treat all guests like this, my case only, or all foreigners.
Just my own opinion, I wouldn’t visit again.
