The guest home was beautiful with fantastic views. The pool area was also fantastic. We were close enough to get to everywhere but far enough to be away from the hustle of the city. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay Great spa and perfect views

We loved our stay at African Violets & in Noordhoek. Our Courtyard Cottage was spacious, in excellent condition & had great views to Chapman's Peak & the coastline. The pool area was fabulous with the same great views and plenty of sunbeds & covered comfy seating. Our hot tub was an added luxury which we used most evenings. Finally, Noordhoek was a good location with access to several fabulous beaches, cafes, restaurants & towns. We'd definitely stay again.

Where do I begin? Jen is an absolute delight! From the moment we booked, she was in communication with us. Upon arrival Jen gave us tour of her beautiful property. She provided us with a map, local things to do, and restaurants to try. All her recommendations were spot on! She was a great resource throughout our stay! The room was clean, spacious and provided us with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The actual location of the property is farther away from the center of the city. Although we rented a car and wanted a location farther out from the city, I think it’s important to mention that if you are interested in visiting the V&A waterfront, the botanical gardens, Table Mountain, etc. you will need a rental car for traveling. Jen’s location is super safe. We parked in a gated driveway, accessible through a remote push. The surrounding area is also beautiful and my husband and I never felt unsafe! On the day we left, our flight was departing at 11pm at night. Jen allowed us to stay in the room until we were ready to leave. I remember reading reviews when I was looking for a place to stay for our honeymoon in South Africa and someone mentioned to just book African Violet Suites, that you wouldn’t be disappointed. I am here to say, they were absolutely right! JUST BOOK IT!

I had to go to Johannesburg for school, so then I took a road trip to Cape Town. I chose African Violet because of the great reviews and because it's location was pretty central to everything I wanted to do in the area. The room was beautiful and Jenny the host was very friendly and accommodating. They provided a map and she pointed out places that were recommended. The view was incredible. I'll definitely see if they have a room available the next time I'm in town.

This would be my first review in Hotel.Com as usually I don't write any review of the hotel I stay. Love this hotel very much, the view is amazing, and everything you need is in the room. It's like staying in your own comfort home I would say. And Jennifer is very accommodating, friendly and helpful. She came to our room and explain in details about our room and where to visit and even told us the nearest supermarket to grab some stuff. Would definitely recommend this place to others, and if I come back to Cape Town, I will definitely stay here again, no doubt. Thank you Jennifer, hope to see u again in the future.

Good value for money. Comfortably furnished and tastefully kitted out. A work desk for the business traveller would be great, because I found myself rearranging furniture to create a makeshift desk for myself to work on. Views are great, and the area is quiet. Unfortunately the amount of road construction happening in the area can be tedious, especially during peak hours. WiFi speed was good for work purposes. Only thing that appeared to be lacking was daily cleaning service of the room. My schedule was too hectic to worry about sorting it out with the owner, so there is a chance that it may be available at an extra cost. Same with breakfast.

African Violet is the perfect place to find tranquility, amazing views and Afrocentric artwork! The Terrace Suite was thoughtfully designed with a beautiful interior and infinity pool. We had a great stay! The owners Jenni and Rob are warm, friendly and readily responsive.

We had our first holiday with our 3.5 month daughter and spent 7 fantastic nights at African Violet. We were really well taken care of. Amazing views. Relaxed approach from the owners. Well equipped. Stunning and relaxing.

We stayed in the Courtyard Suite for four nights in March as part of a two week trip to Cape Town. The suite is nicely appointed, with a comfortable bed, lovely wet room and superb mountain and sea views. The location was ideal for us as a base for some cycling along the coast road. Jennifer and Rob were friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts in the courtyard and sitting in the evening on the decking soaking in the evening sun and views.

Quiet location, good for visiting southern suburbs. Peaceful and relaxing stay, small pool available. Liked the patio area outside room. Comfortable bed and small kitchenette .

This place is beautiful with amazing views. Hot shower, heated floors, very clean, perfect for two. Downside is it is very far away from everything we wanted to see, took at least an hour to drive to anywhere and back, therefore many Uber drives and spent a lot of money on that. It also gets very windy as it is on a hill, walking can definitely be a challenge. There is an outdoor pool but it is freezing so we didn't use that.

So glad we decided to make it a two night stay! Jenny is a gem of a host and made us feel at home from the onset when she called ahead of our arrival to ask about our ETA. This was without any pressure whatsoever to rush through the Friday afternoon traffic. The upgrade she gave us was an extra bonus and we fully enjoyed every minute of our stay. We would love to be back!

I stayed in the Loft Suite. The views are breathtaking. Every window has an amazing view the mountains and the beach. It's a very serene place, very quiet. Jenni, the owner was so sweet and tended to any needs I had during my stay. She was very warm and attentive. African Violet is a bit out from Capetown city center but you can get Uber quickly to take you in, approximately a 30 minute ride depending on traffic. I'd recommend always using Uber to get to and from as taxi drivers don't know the area well and get lost. I had two taxi drivers get seriously lost late at night in both cases for more than an hour trying to bring me back to the guest suite. You will need a GPS to get here, but it's completely worth it. The local Pick and Play is a quick Uber away to stock up your kitchen. There was a small issue with pests because they were just coming out of the dry season but it was taken care of right away without reoccurrence. Very spacious and very comfortable accommodation. I will definitely stay here again on my return trip.
