Pretty expensive for Spencer iowa

I stayed in a spacious King room with a firm bed, which I prefer less firm. Breakfast was good, but the service during breakfast was below average. There’s no elevator, but with only two floors, it wasn’t a big issue. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. I also appreciated the flat, safe surroundings—perfect for a morning walk or run. Overall, I’d rate my stay a 3 out of 5.

Not a bad hotel but the toilet and aheow

For the price, we were extremely disappointed ($173, I believe). The staff took awhile to come to the front desk. The hot tub wasn’t working. There were no cookies because “they were too busy” (maybe that’s a good thing). When I asked for extra blankets, I was given a fitted mattress pad and a decorative half blanket.

Clean rooms, cold A/C. Breakfast was tasty. Love those waffle makers.

It was a great stay, quick registration and checkout, breakfast was good, pool was good ... all the experience we had was awesome.

My wife and I stayed for four nights. I had to ask for towels every day. Room was never cleaned nor was the bed ever made. I don’t expect new bedding every day, but the used towels were never taken nor replaced. I’m happy to re-use my towel if they would dry, but that never happened because of the humidity. Garbage was not taken out until after the third night. My main reason for staying there was because you have a hot tub. It was not working the entire length of the stay. Probably will not be back.

Front desk was very friendly. While walking down the hall to our room, stale cigarette/wet dog smell. Room appeared clean but also had the same smell. We opened the window yo let it air oit. Definitely helped. Everything in the room was sticky and not wiped down very good. Lot of finger prints on things. Kinda disappointed since we have stayed at AmericInn many times in the past and it has always been a great experience. Ypyr Spencer Iowa location need a serious makeover.

Seems a little outdated. Sheets were paper thin and kept lifting from the mattress--should be tossed. Clean. No decaf coffee at breakfast as we can't have caffeine.

The place was clean and nice but the staff at night was kind of rude I ask for an extra blanket she seems not happy at all! Breakfast lady was super nice she was in front desk in the morning to I ask her if we can check out at 1pm instead she told us not a problem

The staff was very helpful and did a good job of keeping the building clean. It was just older building overall. Air conditioning struggled to keep up in the entire building. Cheap paper plates made syrup challenging!

The unit #123 was smelly and damp. Carpet felt damp and entire room had an odor. The outside door did not lock at 11 pm and it was on main floor. The breakfast was completely empty of food at. 9 am. The four coffee pots were empty. . Very disappointed!

Super friendly staff and great room!!

Over all pretty basic. Service was okay. The breakfast left a lot to be desired.
