The apartment itself was fine, very clean with everything that you might need. Although i coukdnt find the hairdryer to start with. I emailed them but heard nothing. The big problem i had was lack of sleep due to the noise. It was relentless. I kept checking to see if the windows were closed. The apartment is in a side road with a bar at the end and a couple of bars further down. The road is used as a short cut and cars regularly roar along its cobbled roads. The shouting and screaming outside begins to fade about 2am however you have the glass collecting lorries, bin lorries very late and some thudding noise which is never-ending . When i was asked as i checked out if id enjoyed my stay i said no it was too noisy to which she replied "good". The windows in app 7 need looking at as there is no protection from outside noise.

Place was great and well equipped. Location was fantastic for exploring Edinburgh

Stayed here with husband for 2 nights.Sptless apartment, lhandy location for everything (shopping, sightt seeing, bars/restaurants ), comfy bed, great shower and absolutely gorgeous toiletries (temple spa) . Quiet building so will definitely return.

Loved our stay in a 2 bed apartment in Braid apartments. Beds so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave ! Great welcome basket with some breakfast items were waiting for us on arrival. 2 bathrooms with showers in each and great heat throughout the apartment. Super place to be based as so close to princes street and main sites. Staff very helpful before arrival and provided information when it was needed. We arrived around 8pm and it was easy to access with the provided code which was emailed and also available on that app. Super stay!

Air conditioning in the bedroom. No smart TVs, which I commented on last time I stayed 2 years ago

Amenities were amazing! Was able to walk everywhere from it and also bus and metro were very close to it. Super clean super pretty very spacious. Had everything I needed and was looking for and more! Would definitely stay again

The apartment was very clean, warm and comfortable. A great location, walkable to everywhere and only 25 minutes by car to the airport.

Property is fantastic. Two bedrooms and three bathrooms perfect for family

This was the perfect property for 2 people. Kitchen was well-stocked, sofa was comfortable, TV had many channels. Shower was a bit tight, and bed smaller than we expected. It was nice having a washer/dryer in the unit. It is on a quiet side street, only a stone’s throw away from Hanover St. There we found many good restaurants and coffee houses. It is a 5min walk to Princes St, with M&S, a drugstore, other stores, and a ton of bus stops. It is about a 15-20min walk to the Royal Mile. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It was a bit more expensive than other properties, but we were very pleased. We would stay here again!

Loved the in apt laundry, great layout, full kitchen and elevator (from 1st floor). Location was perfect, loved the digital key which made it so easy to get in. Front desk crew were amazing. Would stay again and recommend.

Our second stay here and again very comfortable. Good location in New Town, 10 mins from Waverley station with buses and trams even closer. Apartment is well equipped and a good size. The check-in app is a little irritating, and there seemed to be a herd of elephants staying in the apartment above us! Like everything in Edinburgh it is expensive in August.

The 2 bedroom unit was spacious with 2 bathrooms and a/c in the bedrooms. Everything very clean. Larger bedroom had 2 twins pushed together and its own bathroom. Other one had full bed. Generous kitchen with everything needed if want to cook a little and settle in. For those with mobility issues - note 2 sets of stairs before one get's to elevator (3 front treads and then another 15). Milk in the frig was welcome (but did not get the basket of goodies other reviewers mentioned). Nice robes, slippers and lux lotions, shampoos and conditioner. Only complaint was sometimes a little scattered garbage and garbage smells across alley from entrance (but maybe nothing to do with the Apts). Some comm issues with arriving after front desk closed at 7pm but worked out fine. Would stay again.

The Braid Apartments are the best place to stay in Edinburgh. Beautiful, comfortable, snd convenient!!!

Fantastic location… great and clean flat… there was a fire alarm and couldn’t reach anyone even though I called every number I had. BUT everything was fine in the end and I would stay again next trip!
