there is no personal contact with any staff. you get there,have to call someone to tell you which room is yours. Also no hair dryer in the room.

On arrival office was closed. Had to call a number. Manager was beyond rude to me because I had a dog with me where I was promptly charged. The floors in the room were very dirty. Site says breakfast, there was none or a coffee maker. In fact I was the only room rented on the property. There totally alone. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely not

Good and basic motel with friendly staff. Easy parking, clean rooms, self-serve breakfast with plenty of options, and a 3-minute drive to the regional hospital. The rail trail runs right behind it, making it a very pleasant 12-minute walk to the nearest restaurant.

Beautiful view of the lake and the property was well kept. The rooms are quite outdated but clean. Breakfast was decent (continental).

Before I give my review, I believe the hotel was undergoing a complete renovation room-by-room. Our room had not been renovated yet so I don’t think it should’ve been rented out. What we noticed for the two nights that we stayed there was a shabby & dusty room. I don’t mind shabby and old, but I don’t appreciate it being unclean. The bathtub and the toilet were dirty. The shower curtain was disgusting. My husband and I did not take showers for the two nights that we stayed there. The vanity/sink in the bathroom appeared to be clean. There were plenty of towels. The floors were dusty and damaged. The sheets on the beds were rumpled and old and the bedspreads were stained. There were no hooks in the bathroom. There was no closet. The kitchen was not fully equipped: there were no glasses nor dishcloths/towels. There were a few dishes and eating utensils and only one dull knife. No veggie peeler; no bottle openers. The price of the room was not high, but you weren’t getting much for your money. I would wait until they did a complete renovation before ever renting a room from this motel again. The staff seemed to be friendly, although we didn’t spend a lot of time speaking to the staff.

Dirty stove, oven Bathroom, taps dirty. Blinds filthy! Taps for showers just go around and around. Bathroom floor heats rusted. For the amount wr paid, terrible. Mgr. Can gardly speak english. Qiet and said will tell owner. I adked for a discount. Beds comfortable.

And older motel but clean and great value in todays over priced accommodations. Could be a bit warm on a very hot day as there is in AC. A great place to lay your head when sightseeing the area.

Got there just as office was closing, helpful to get us settled. Room was tiny. Bathroom was semi renovated; nice floors, tub was a 1970 original olive green, and there was black mold around the tub. The bed was small with little blankets and two smaller pillows. There was a fan and light attached to the switch and furniture was mismatched. The office was not open in the am and I tried to contact front desk to leave key but there was no answer.

Je savais que Cetais un motel mais à notre arrivée , dans la chambre il manquais les taies d’oreiller . Le parking fais vraiment pitié et l’intérieur des chambres aussi . Pas d’air conditionné et vieux bain douche . Très très ordinaire surtout pour le prix .Aller ailleurs

Bed and towels were clean, floor was not, as i spilt the freezer tray(it was full of water) so i cleaned it up and the towel was so dirty. They have a good breakfast

spiders in our room, we had the kitchenette and the glass ware was dirty, bathtub filthy we didn’t shower. we left as soon as we woke up.

We were booked to stay at the NovaStar hotel for five nights and wanted a room with easy access for big bags and some food prep facilities. We arrived very late in the night after driving from the city and found the room to have cobwebs, furniture covered in dust, the bathtub was leaking, moldy and covered in hair, plus there was a tear in the window covering and without blinds or curtains it was possible to see directly into the bathroom from the walkway. There was a strong odor of cologne or cleaning supplies, the lights flickered and while blackout curtains were in one window the other had just a thin blind so the lights from the parking lot and exterior were very bright inside. My daughter and felt both unsafe and unclean in the room but the staff available was not able to do anything with the reservation. The bed appeared clean and due to the late hour we stayed the night. I awoke the next morning with my eyes almost sealed shut due to allergies and the amount of dust. (Not seasonal allergies as this did not occur once we moved locations) we left at 6:30 in the morning and again staff on site told me that they could not change the reservation. I called the number provided and spoke with multiple people advising of the unacceptable state of the room and requested the remainder of the reservation to be cancelled and refunded (since I had paid for the entire visit directly through the hotel). After much back and forth the staff advised me that they would not offer

No A/C, no coffee machine, no ice, no Kleenex, no bathroom fan. But it was very clean and very quiet
