Excellent hotel and resort. The staff were lovely and the hotel was gorgeous

Loved our swim up suite. Staff were so friendly and accommodating! Housekeeping was also great, loved the evening turn down service and we enjoyed the ease of room service especially that they had a cubby where you could get room service dropped off rather than them coming in and also to clean up without having plates in the room! We also enjoyed the live music at night. The spa was wonderful! The only reason we’re not giving 5 stars was we were a bit underwhelmed with the food. Some places were great (Spice, Oregano, Chex Isabella, Revive smoothie/juice bar, Aroma cafe) but others were not (Las Olas, Flavor Market, food truck, some of the room service options, lobster house for breakfast/lunch - dinner was better, breakfast buffet hit or miss but lots of options).

Amazing experience! Everyone was super nice, amazing service. Food was pretty good, but if you specify to the chef of the night they accommodate for you!

Wonderfull experience

I loved this place it was luxurious and very aesthetically pleasing. The room was gorgeous, I loved all of the amenities and also all of the dinning options. I ate good food everyday and truly enjoyed the whole ambiance of the place.

I loved all of the space by the pool, the staff, the drinks, and restaurants was top notch. Loved my room and private pool!

Carmen el Excellence was a pleasant stay. Staff were very nice and friendly. The only thing i did not like was the food at Spice restaurant. Everything looks good on paper, however, one of the dishes a chicken padtay that I ordered was over cooked, padtay was very mushy I did not like at all. Staff was pleasant enough to ask if i wanted something else i said no. They take pride in making customers comfortable and I appreciate that. Otherwise all was good. I would recommed this resort, however, you should know know Spanish because English was a bit challenging for them. Overall a very nice resort. I would recommend this stay. 😊

The staff was great, Food was good and the beach was full of seaweed . The resort was very big, so walking to the pool or restaurants was a bit of a challenge. The resort was also far from shopping and excursions. I will be returning

The property was well maintained and clean. Could use a light renovation to address the daily wear and tear and update some furnishings in the room.

I highly recommend this resort. It feels like home away from home all the luxuries and amenities that it has to offer. I started booking Excellence El Carmen 2 yrs And it’s our 3rd vacation stay. Love love love the staff. So polite and caring. 100% prrfection

We loved our honeymoon swim up suit room. Having the pool right outside our room was perfect for us to lounge privately whenever we wanted. The good was great at all the restaurants we went to. My husband also loved the sports bar that played all the games he wanted to watch. The swim up bar was fantastic and it was easy to get seats at the pool, beach, and restaurants at pretty much any time of day.
