Our stay was an utter disappointment. I booked this one as a treat for me and my mother, as she hasn't travelled for 15 years. It was no where near my experience of a 4 star. More comparable to one of the many budget hotels I've been in, with the exception of a comfier bed (one of the few good things!). There were scuffs on walls, huge chips out of furniture, mould around the bath, and mouldy window frames which were excellent for letting in freezing air all night 👌 The pool was also tiny. I can't speak for the other facilities. We paid extra for a 'superior room', and we even questioned whether we'd been put in the wrong room! When I asked, I was informed that it was superior, which is basically a twin room with the beds pushed together?? Since when does that constitute as superior? The view of the carpark really topped it off. We had to request a shorter stay because of the disappointment, but were refused.

Location is superb, 100 ft to Chippenham bus station, and leads than 10 minutes bistro from the train station. Room is spacious, so is the bathroom, big and renovated. Courtyard is nice. There is a leisure pool at site too. Huge parking lot at back. The buffet breakfast offered was full English style and truly great. Staffs were super friendly. I stayed here one night to visit the near by Cotswold villages, like Castle Combe, which was only half an hour away. If the windows could be upgraded and AC is installed then this place will be perfect.

Room had iron and board which is required for me. Room service was available (though unused this time). Hotel was good quality, the staff are helpful and it was a good stay.

Easy check in, nice breakfast, friendly staff and clean room. Couldn’t ask for any more.

Lovely and helpful staff, and very classy decor. I asked if I could have a room with a bathtub if one was available, and they gave me such a beautiful room with one! Really a treat, as I don’t have one at home.

Warm cosy hotel…friendly welcome from young lady at reception each time we approached and helpful …room spacious with nice view of garden. Lovely shower room. Clean and everything provided. Pool lovely and warm and we used it late evening when up was quiet. Breakfast was enjoyable …

Lovely hotel, staff, room, bar, pool. Would certainly stay again. If i had to find something to improve it would be to have more recycling facilities and conditioner in bathroom.

Breakfast was great, the gym area needs to be assessed by health and safety.

Staff were polite. The toilet was very difficult to flush. There was a constant noise of a boiler or something behind the wall coming on throughout the night. Breakfast Friday was good. On Saturday there seemed to be a shortage of items for the breakfast. The pool was nice. Location was good.

Very lovely hotel! Bedroom are soft neat and elegant staff are very friendly and quite abit to do while there definitely a 4/5 for me
