Emplacement merveilleux. Chambres correctes, salle de bains un peu petite. Petit déjeuner correct. Parking avec valet très bien considérant l’emplacement.

Amazing stay from start to finish. My mother has mobility issues and uses a mobility scooter. The staff were brilliant with this - carrying it in and out, and charging it up for her. The room was spotless, large and well appointed and the breakfast was amazing. Big thank you to Beata on reception and the others who were so friendly and helpful during our stay. Would not hesitate to recommend Dean Court to anyone visiting York.

From the moment you enter Dean Court Hotel you are greeted with a warm welcome with very attentive staff. Throughout my stay I couldn’t fault them, they really looked after their guests. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone thinking of staying in York to stay at Dean Court Hotel. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced for what you get. I had some lovely food and they don’t skimp on the portion's.

The Dean Court is a charming boutique hotel that was completed in 1865 as Clergy residences for York Minster which the hotel is in the shadow of. Because you are staying in a heritage building there can be some charming challenges such as creaky floors and low clearance doorways. Despite that the positives far outweigh any challenges you may encounter. Everything is walkable from the Dean Court and there are several great pubs feet from your front door many of which offer a Sunday Roast menu. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and you will see them doing several different jobs around the hotel: valeting your rental car one day, tending bar the next. If you are spending a few days in York and want to be close to everything while staying in a historical building, this is the place.

Dean Courtney is conveniently located directly opposite the Minster. It is a short 15 minute walk from the train station. I was concerned that the area would be noisy given the location but it wasn’t. We stayed in the Wolsey Room which was tucked away in a connected building accessed via a back stairway behind the restaurant reception. One flight up and no elevator. The room was spacious but stark, a bit worn and lacked much furniture. There was no luggage rack or chest of drawers to store anything. We had to perch our luggage on the window seat. Not sure why but there were two large chandeliers in the room which looked very much out of place. I suspect it might have been used as a meeting room at some point. There is no air conditioning so I would not want to stay in the summer. We visited in late May staying 3 nights. The last day got quite warm around 85 degrees. The room got quite stuffy. Thankfully there was a decent enough fan to move the air around. Only one window would open and only about 6 inches. The bed was ok. The bathroom was fine, surprisingly great water pressure for a UK hotel. There is only passive venting so condensation builds up during bathing, hence some black mold on the caulk around the tub. The included breakfast was decent enough. You could order anything from the menu. It took awhile for someone to take your order but once that was done the food came along pretty. Overall ok for the price but probably would not stay here again

Being right next to the Minster this would have to be the best hotel location in York. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are quiet and comfortable and there’s a nice restaurant on site. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit York.

Good location. Helpful staff. Our room door was between the lift and the stairs. Banging till late at night from people walking up stairs. Room was very small. Thought it was funny that when I asked for more towels after 3rd day and was told okay but no free drink now.

The Dean Court can boast about location, ( only a few blocks from the train station and across the street from Abbey Minster), but also exceptionally helpful, courteous staff, delicious meal options, and overall comfort.
