Our stay was ok. However the mattress in our room, the springs were gone which caused me to be quite uncomfortable throughout our stay and caused me to have pain in my hips. We then also didn't have a plug for our bath and were given a spare one that then also didn't fit the bath. The toilet was also flowing constantly at the back and the plug in the sink didn't also hold water. We ended up having food in the restaurant where my steak wasn't too good. It was very fatty, very tough and I couldn't eat much of it due to this. We then had breakfast there the next morning where we ordered eggs benedict and were told that they had no muffins and therefore we were given the option of sourdough bread which I'm not too keen on but agreed to as I was really looking forward to having a nice breakfast and wanted eggs benedict that morning. Overall for such a lovely building and town I would have expected a better stay and was quite disappointed to say the least.

Enjoyable stay room very clean the staff were very helpful. Evening meal delicious as was the breakfast more cooked perfectly a d were hot. Would definitely recommend a d would stay again

Stayed for business. Wifi poor, furniture very worn, generally needs some TLC. TV had no signal and staff seemed to be aware of issue but it has never been fixed. Food good ans parking easy.

The hotel is in need of an overhaul, it’s really tired, dated and poor quality. The first room I was put in was dreadful, tiny, grotty and not a reflection of any of the pictures on the website. Breakfast was a disaster, a chef that can’t cook, poached/scramble eggs and burns toast, doesn’t inspire. Seemed really short on staff and grumpy when you did find them. Heard several other guests complaining too. Great location but that’s the only positive.

Hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment, I had to hook the curtains to the rail as they were hanging down. The bedroom furniture is extremely worn and marks on the walls. The floor in the dining room is dirty and worn, the breakfast wasn’t good the toast was burnt and the overcooked scrambled eggs was on top of it, not good!

staff very friendly and helpful. food was good in the restaurant . Room was decent and the hotel was very good value.

We stayed for 3 night's and the manager and staff were very welcoming throughout our stay. The manager was very kind to give all of us upgrades which was a very pleasant surprise. Bedding/towels were very nice. Breakfast was very agreeable. You could choose from both continental and cooked items From the menu. Perfect spot for us as we were there visiting family/fiends in the area. Lots of great pub/restaurants to choose from in the surrounding areas.

Lovely hotel, rooms very spacious, walk in shower was big, staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very nice, would visit again.

The staff were excellent and food we had was amazing too. Unfortunately the shower we had was cold and the walls of the rooms were thin so we could hear the other guests and dogs in nearby rooms.

Property was a good base for work. Nothing to dislike

The room was a good size , dated abit but clean and tidy . The staff were very friendly and welcoming , the Breakfast was a 10/10 . The Chef was excellent . You had a good choice of cereal and pastries . Also a varietie of hot and cold drinks . We didn't use the Bar asfore we got back from our day-to-day trips out late .
