We attended Statham lodge yesterday afternoon following my mother in laws funeral. We were really pleased with the food and exceptional service we received. The food exceeded our expectations. The buffet was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold food and some delicious scones with cream and jam to follow. Huge thanks to all the staff for helping us and our guests have a lovely afternoon. It was very much appreciated. We had the large room overlooking the gardens which was the perfect relaxing environment. Thankyou to the lovely lady serving the food and clearing the tables for us. Kind regards The Cooke family.

Nice hotel all in all. Most of staff very nice , friendly and accommodating. Food overall very good. Had lunch, evening meal and breakfast. Lunch and breakfast were excellent, evening meal would have been perfect had the venison not been slightly overcooked. Still enjoyed everything, rooms may have a few cosmetic touches required but for the deal. No complaints and would return and recommend

Fabulous stay here over Christmas for a wedding, the wedding was amazing thanks to all the wonderful staff that made it happen, the way they did the room for the service was gorgeous! The bedroom was clean and the beds were comfy, the only issue we had was the temperature of the room but we turned the radiator off and opened the window slightly but that's a personal preference, black out blinds and heavy curtains kept the room dark . Breakfast looked good with generous sized portions, kids and OH said it was nice although didn't manage to eat anything due to enjoying myself too much the night before.

We got married here in August, and everything was absolutely perfect! From the very start of planning right through to the big day itself! Beckie was fantastic throughout the whole process and helped us with anything and everything we needed. On the day, Chris was incredible, he was so organised, calming, and attentive. He completely put my nerves at ease, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole day ran perfectly, even better than we could have ever imagined! The food and canapés were amazing annd our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after such a special day. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that truly goes above and beyond, this is the place. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough! 💍✨

We really enjoyed our one night stay here. It’s such a charming hotel with an interesting story. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfy. We had dinner when we arrived and the food was wonderful! Service was relaxed and friendly, and one of the team answered my questions about the Little Squire (see the suit in the photos) and a bit about the hotel’s history. We thought it was very good value and very handy for breaking a long journey. We’d recommend it to anyone.
