Curtain was hanging off the track and the window wouldn't close

Room was basic and clean. No tea / coffee facilities though. Breakfast was very basic. Although trying to have a coffee in the morning or any time during the day was met with an unwelcoming attitude from the staff. The garden and pool are great unfortunately there is no way of getting a drink. Other hotel are more expensive but certainly worth the extra cost

The staff are pleasant but this hotel is shocking!! The room is so run down it’s unreal. We are sea view the windows are filthy the curtains are hanging off so the light gets thru. Bed was so uncomfortable my back is in bits now. Room is so hot and can’t open windows I assume for safety a fan is provided - just unsure why so warm when it’s not a crazy hot weather. Bath room is grim! We opted not to shower before leaving as it’s filthy. Stains left from previous mugs at coffee station and no tea spoons to stir :/ no towels in bathroom as mentioned. The communal areas to get to rooms is so noisy - def need some slow shutting doors for kids and holiday makers running up and down corridors - and pretty much dated room! Needs a complete make over! I genuinely didn’t feel safe here.

Decided to stay in in was for a extra night and booked the majestic which has newly been renovated and spruced up with a nice new colour scheme wirh the exterior painted Larger thdn expected single romm looking out towards the downs. Very comfy bed and was clean with nice new carpeting unlike the hotel I stayed at the previous 4 nights. Will be re booking and staying here again as I come to stay in Eastbourne 6 times a year

The hotel is really run down and needs a good clean. The first room that we was allocated was filthy. The bathroom hadnt seen a cleaner for a while, hairs in the shower, a huge puddle of water just randomly on the floor, no hand soap. We asked to move rooms, and the second room was better but not much. The shower door was broken so water leaked out everytime it was in use, questionable stains on the walls and lamp shades. Just really run down rooms. The lady on reception didnt seem at all surpised that we found the rooms dirty. The place needs a really good deep clean & a lick of paint. We wont be staying here again.

If you want to be kept awakw all night by loud shouting of those who have been " placed" here. Then knock yourself out. A deeadful experience.

We checked in to find the first two rooms we were offered occupied, 3rd time lucky. Had to ask for towels. Paid for parking permit on the street to find motorbikes didn’t need to pay. Were offered free breakfast because mix up with rooms but had to wait for some to be cooked and the two eggs that were there were congealed and they wouldn’t do anymore. They made the room up the next day but rolled the already used and wet towels up and put them in the bed, so the duvet was damp

The hotel is the a great location, the hotel need a fair bit of TLC in terms of leaky pipes etc. The staff are super helpful and action things as quickly as possible.

The hotel looks like it is used to house immergrants.

We were very disappointed. Was very unclean in the room, there was a horrible smell and extremely dusty. There was pigeon feathers and a tampon on our floor! Very evident they had not cleaned it. Did not provide breakfast for room with 3 single beds. Said they do daily cleaning but only clean room once during our 3 night stay! Overall terrible experience and will not come again

The staff were great, especially the receptionist and the barman / waiter. They were married and from Turkey. The room was shabby with the TV having to be attended to on several occasions. The extractor fan did not work and was hanging off the wall. The room had been decorated but not the doorframe in the ensuite.

When looking at this hotel it looked lovely on this site but when we got there the rooms don't look anything like them. I definitely wouldn't of paid £163 for that hotel. We was placed on the 3rd floor and the lift was out of order. The kettle was rusty. No hairdryer in the room. Only one bedside lamp worked.I asked for a fan because the room was so hot, only window would open. The fan was sent to another room so had to go back downstairs again to get another one which wasn't worth having. The shower cubicle was tiny and looked dirty. The water kept going hot and cold. The staff was nice and the location was good. I tried add photos but it won't let me.

The lady on reception was lovely. Lift broken and were not told and were on the top floor and have mobility problems. Toilet seat broken, half painted wall, shower hot then cold repeatedly, mattress had springs coming through, stains on a CLEAN duvet cover, and over all basic at best.
