We had a good stay in the hotel for 1 night in winter times. ***** Service. The service was really good and everyone was very kind. ***** Food. Also the dinner and breakfast was amazing. There was a big variety of food you can choose from. * Room. The night was pretty bad for us. The mattress was not split in 2 and we could feel the movements of each other during night. We woke up several time due to that. Also, the pillows are horrible. I am surprised anyone can sleep on such cheap Polyester foam pillows. Also, after taking 3-5 tissues in the bathroom, the box got empty. It would be good if the rooms service made sure it lasts for at least 1 night. *** Sauna. The Sauna was good, although it wasn't that many. For some reason the Sauna light turned off inside every minute or so. That has always been irritating to us. *** Pool area. Don't forget the swimming pants! We payed 100+ Euro for swimming clothes there, but we were pretty disappointed by the outdoor pool. The water was cold since entering. I guess they want to save some energy in winter times. *** Atmosphere. There was a lot of beautifully decorated space for relaxing. We liked it a lot. Also, the fact you can drink tea all day long is great. However, we were surprised by all the kids roaming and screaming around. That interfered with the peaceful atmosphere. Also, there is one relax room close to the dinner space (next to the outdoor pool), but it's not silent at all when dinner takes place. It seems the space is not well isolated from the dinner area.

Have just spent 4 incredible nights here. Our room had a panoramic view of the frozen lake and snowy hills. The spa is one of the best I have visited, ever. Spacious, plenty of rooms and therapies (with no added extras for almost all) and even the sauna area had over 10 different rooms to use. Note the sauna area is ‘textile free’ and nudity is the norm but if you are conservative you can use a towel to cover up. As for meals, a local gentleman informed me that this hotel has the best food in town and he wasn’t wrong! The chefs are truly top rate and even items that I don’t usually enjoy e.g quinoa, were delicious. I ate so many foods I would not usually touch because I knew they would have prepared them with incredible flavour. Silver service throughout and the staff are so sincere, warm and friendly. Stephan, the restaurant manager is the perfect person for that role and his fantastic team included Alfarid, Francesco, Sophie and Audrey who served us so well. The menu changes daily for lunch and dinner and we were spoilt at 3pm with afternoon tea/coffee and cakes! This is all included and only dinner is optional but I would strongly advised adding it to your stay! Full board is definitely the way to go here. Breakfast was the best I have had in any European hotel, ever….by far! I could write a whole essay on it but for e.g. there were probably 8 variations of museli on offer, fresh ginger juice shots and a waffle maker! It’s mostly adults but when kids are at the hotel they put a whole different section of food choices on to meet their needs. This is clearly run by a caring and considerate owner (actually a family which makes sense). I must say this hotel has thought of the little things which many hotels do not and that really does enhance the stay. Gowns have badges with your room number so you know whose is whose. At dining there are useful side tables to put things on, etc etc etc. I will end here but if we were to return to this beautiful place in nature, we would not hesitate to stay here.

The fire alarm rang for no reason during the late evening. Out of 3 saunas, 2 were out of order and the last one understandably a bit crowded. Breakfast buffet was however really good.

Great stay, amazing accommodation and outstanding level of services. I would like to warmly thank Antje for enabling an amazing stay to my baby Paul (4 months) and myself. I thought it might be not entirely convenient due to the age of the baby, but everything has been set to have a very comfortable stay despite his young age. I have also appreciated the different pools, the different chilling areas ensuring privacy. Finally the amazing and smilly personal everywhere did not get unnoticed. Thumbs up.

Sadly, the gorgeous food from the menu was spoiled by the table and somewhat lack of service/attention. It appears that as a non-hotel guest having food in their restaurant means getting a table at the far end, next to an open drafty window, next to the only pillar in the all window wall, and the smallest available table for two despite all (!) other tables around us being much larger and set for two people too. Very bizarre and not what I had expected from them. Next visit? Not in the near future. And obviously this experience is being shared with other locals....
