I recently stayed at Mercure Kota Kinabalu City Centre and overall had a decent experience, though there are a few areas that could use improvement. The room itself was comfortable and generally well-maintained, making it a pleasant space to rest after a day out. However, the bathroom design was not very practical. The shower area tends to splash water outside easily, which caused minor flooding outside the bathroom area after each use. The space also felt a bit cramped and not very user-friendly. The gym facilities were unfortunately disappointing. The air conditioning was not functioning properly, making the space quite warm and uncomfortable. Additionally, the equipment, including the treadmill and other machines, was not in working condition, which made the gym essentially unusable during my stay. Overall, while the room comfort was satisfactory, improvements in bathroom design and proper maintenance of the gym facilities would greatly enhance the guest experience.
