This is a super charming small hotel (10 rooms) in a quiet area of Amboise yet still just a few blocks from the Palace and other great sites. The staff is OUTSTANDING. Jean Jacques the owner greeted us at check in with an employee named Angel. He recently purchased the hotel and Angel joined his team this week. He obviously cares deeply about the place and makes sure you have everything you need. When he is not there Angel was terrific. She also cared about everything that happens at the hotel. I would give this place the highest rating on any scale. The only place to stay in Amboise.

Staff girls were most helpful as well as the Owner. Little things were paid attention to. Very beautiful antique rooms with modern bathrooms. Local cookies were left for us . Very close to any restaurant you’d like and Chateau’s as well . Thank you ! I would be back in an instant

We loved our stay at Hôtel Au Charme Rabelaisien in Amboise. Jaques was so accommodating, he helped coordinate the pick up of our rental car, with dinner suggestions and reservations. The hotel is so central. Amboise is a charming town to walk and explore. Be sure to include their breakfast. It is fabulous and a great way to start each day!

Lovely property with beautiful room. Staff was warm and attentive to our questions and requests . Only complaint would be the room was very warm and we had to open the windows because the AC was off for the season.

Great staff, Richard was friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful. It was nice there was an elevator for our luggage! Walking distance to the Royal Chateau and dining. Had a great meal at Chez Bruno.

A lovely property run by gracious and attentive hosts. We were very happy with our spacious, very clean and comfortable room. We appreciated the off-street private parking as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Great if you want to be away from the tourist crowds but close enough to be convenient for everything

This is a delightful property and the owners are personable and helpful. There is private off street parking. The location was excellent for walking the city. The continental breakfast was simple, but very nice. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

This hotel was beautiful! Eclectic and beautifully decorated, with a comforable bed and amazing shower in our room. We loved the breakfast buffet and wonderfully kind staff. Walkable to everything in town, but far enough out to be quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was conveniently located to downtown shopping and dining, easy walk from the train station. The staff was incredibly welcoming, kept our luggage while we toured the area before check-in, and served a nice breakfast. Our room was at the top of the hotel, very nice size, perfectly equipped, and comfortable bed. It had a great view of the chateau! Highly recommend!

Very nice hotel very close to the town center and the Royal Château. Good breakfast, pool, parking… what not to like 😀

The hotel is lovely and the staff superb! It is eclectically decorated - tres Francais! Breakfast was wonderful as well - fresh and delivered to our room by request every day. My only critique is that the front room on the first floor facing the street can get noisy. So either close your window or ask for a garden room.

The room had ticks and spiders and manager said the Americans brought it, rude disgusting people

Property was lovely, staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Great location and easy to walk to everything in the town. Only disappointment was that the pool wasn't heated in May. Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

The service at this hotel was exceptional. We received a really warm welcome when we arrived and, throughout our stay, nothing was too mucb trouble. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was exceptionally clean. A very nice stay. Thank you.
