The Grand Hotel Telese looks the part. An old grande dame of a hotel with lovely entrance and great hall. It was good for kids, lovely pool and the receptionist was warm and friendly. The rooms were fine and clean. Dinner let it down badly. There's only one place to eat on site, and no one was around to take our order, despite having booked a time and it being quiet. When the food came, it was bland and missing ingredients you'd expect from the dish as described on the menu. When we raised it with the service staff, we could see he was afraid of the chef and when he eventually told him, the chef tried to argue the case rather than accepting his error. We ended up ordering off the kids menu as there was clearly no interest in making things right. I left a message for the manager that evening. At checkout the next morning, he showed little interest, and when I raised the staffing issues and the food directly, he defended his team instead of listening. Decent hotel on the surface, but poor training, and the food was genuinely shocking.

Great double room. We enjoyed the clean pool and the great breakfast.

Travelling for a wedding that took place at this hotel. Booked for 5 nights, beautiful hotel, comfortable room and outstanding service. Rooms are basic which is expected in this part of Italy, no kettle or tea and coffee available in room however comfortable bed, clean and ideal for what we needed. Fantastic spa and pool facilities. Would book again when visiting family. Supermarket and town a short drive away but too far to walk so would recommend car rental.

We stayed at hotel for our daughter's wedding and the staff went out of their way to make her day so special especially the maitre d of the restaurant.Food was very good & swimming pool amazing.

Lovely staff, great location and fantastic food!

We stayed over two weeks. Daily breakfast excellent Very clean, helpful staff. However pool amenities and spa are additional and not open daily. Shower stall floor is very slippery with no handrails.

An imposing property in beautiful surroundings, with lovely, well-appointed Spa. Pleasant, helpful staff; excellent buffet breakfast. Slightly let down by very limited dinner menu.

Great facilities for the family - 3 pools all available to our youngsters

Our stay was pleasant. Unfortunately air conditioning Was not working and made eung in the rooms and sleeping near impossible due to overheating. I alerted the staff 3 times to cool the room temperature finally someone came to control the problem but unfortunately the problem was not rectified

Where to begin? The hotel is beautiful, which retains many of the original features. Furniture is sympathetic to the era - so don't expect perfection. Vincenzo is the best hotelier we've ever come across, he is knowledgable, empathetic and a credit to the hotel. On his recommendations we did a number of activities locally, and it absolutely made our holiday. Breakfast is good, the room is fine especially given the price per night and the pool/wellness is delightful - with extremely attentive staff. There is a smell, which people have pointed out, but this is Telese terme water which is meant to be good for your skin - regardless, it is a cold plunge pool which is nice in the heat. The only thing that irked me was the swim hats, but here's your notice. Otherwise it is a short drive away from a number of lovely villages, eateries and attractions.

We are loyal clients of this hotel. Every year we like to come here and stay for at least a weekend. We love the location, the facilities such as the swimming pool and the spa. This year we found a big improvement and we loved more especially to have breakfast in the lovely garden.

Area around the hotel is a bit run down and industrial. The whole town is attempting a rebound from 19th century glory days and it hasn’t quite succeeded yet.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Attentive staff. We ate lunch and dinner there only once as he food from the restaurant was not very good. All in all I would stay there again and just eat out.
