Hotel D'Oude Morsch was a fantastic place to stay. The location was excellent, close to all the attractions of Leiden, and also close to the train and bus station. The hotel itself was full of character and our room, a superior double was great. We had a dormer window that looked out over the park to the Molen de Put windmill. The room was spacious, although some parts had limited head room, and the bed was comfortable. From what we could see, this room was much nicer than others so would recommend it over other smaller rooms. It was a very sunny room which was nice as it was quite cold in Leiden most days, but it could get very hot in warmer months.

It’s about an 8 minute walk from the train station, quaint location, next to a canal and a windmill. The restaurant is open for lunch and has some small bites and cocktails in the evening. Breakfast is 22€ but a lot of food. The rooms are modern and comfortable.

This property is in a great location for Leiden, the rooms are somewhat basic but tasteful and updated, the staff is fantastic and definitely goes above and beyond,. The only issue, and I hadn’t seen it in earlier reviews, is that the rooms abutting the street can be noisy with late night revelers….but the hotel does offer ear plugs! We’d definitely stay here again

Enjoyed my stay here in a very nice, minimalist, stylish room. Espresso machine and nice teas were provided in the room. Everything was very clean. Staff was friendly. Location is excellent and the views from the windows are beautiful!

We stayed here three nights. Front staff lovely. Amazing location. Room got “cleaned” once but that didn’t included refilling body wash OR putting clean sheets on the bed!
