The staff were ok, but the overall state of the hotel was terrible. The showers had no water pressure, took many minutes to become warm. It seemed that much of the technology was ancient including the AC and television. The pool was very dirty, as well as the central fountain spilling water out onto the floor. Overall, the hotel should put more time and money into maintaining the property so that customers can enjoy their stay.

I have stayed in this beautiful colonial Kavia hotel before in the heart of the historic central district of Mérida. A light breakfast is available in the courtyard. The rooms are updated and quiet and the staff are thoughtful and friendly.

Rooms were neglected, water pressure on one of the rooms was bad and when we bring that up the front desk person got upset. Let them know that the rooms don’t look nothing like what they are showing on the website. Sheets weren’t cleaned, curtains were just hanging from a nail, air conditioner was trowing debris. Water was coming out from the bottom front of the toilet. Location wise was very good because is very close to el Zocalo,

The room was very small, the heat pump leaked and I almost ended up on my back. The TV didn’t work. The Hotel itself was old and broken down and in need of repair. Wasn’t even worth the 40 dollars a night I paid for it.

There were too many mosquitos in the room.

The place was good for the price. Great A/C and close to city Center. Was a clean hotel the pool was too dirty to use did not look like the pictures.

I enjoyed the colonial feel of the hotel and the location was convenient but that came with a price. That is by 6am you could here the sounds of the traffic. The front room had high ceilings, wood fixtures, and pasta tiled flooring. Perhaps further to the back of the hotel noise would not be an issue. The narrow courtyard were the pool was, meant the likehood of having a dip with the sun on high was limited. But good value overall.

Nice hotel in a good location with clean rooms and comfortable beds.

Clue less employees do not recommend they messed up our reservation, paid all before trip and they still made me pay when I was here for don’t bother nicer place up the street

Sad and smelly in #5, but our other room #8 was bigger and smelled nice. Really needs freshening and cleaning. Could be a very nice place, but has not been maintained. Only say dirty dished in the sink at 7am so we walked 2 blocks to OXXO for coffee. Sketchy internet. Secure parking in lot across the street, partially paid for by the hotel.

The location is excellent!!! The rooms are not. There are 3 floors with steep steps and no elevator. The pool is not a pool, it is a pond that is dirty. The shower head gives you drips of water which means you can take up to 30 minutes to get a semi decent shower. The cleaning staff is awesome. They were there every day even on holidays and are very respectful. The breakfast staff was not and never ready on time. Rude and angry gentleman. Breakfast offered is not worth it.

Great location , easy walk to everything . The room was spacious and very clean. Coffee and basic breakfast in the am was very nice .

When I book this package it said that breakfast was included. Toasted bread coffe and milk is not breakfast!!!! I got very agravated that the cleaning lady was expecting a tip on a daily basis when cleaning the room because the tip was not given she stoped being polite,,,isn’t keeping the room clean included in the fees the we had paid already?????? they were polite but with the monetary expectation if that didn’t happen they were not helpful and rude.

No parking, you have to pay during the day, only covers night and the lot is locked at night not available in case of any emergency during night. The rooms don't have space for accessories, no mirrors, we had a leak in the bathroom and the toilet clogged, one night with no electricity and AC.

Great location and potential. It wasn't for us, dreary and sad with a not so good vibe.

It was close to the zoo and restaurants. It was clean. The pool was cold that was not enough to stop us.
