Everything was perfect

The staff and everything they could easily control were great. Location was very central. I was unsure based on the pictures, but the pool is only for a dip, much too small to swim in. Noise from other rooms was a problem…not the worst I’ve experienced, but a problem. I could hear conversations, even snoring, from the adjacent rooms and every step taken in the room above me. Severe enough I had to use ear plugs despite being in a room above the park.

The room was clean, decent, and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of options to choose from, and the staff provided awesome customer service. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, with shops, restaurants, and a shopping mall conveniently nearby.

The hotel had a modern vibe. Clean, efficient, and upscale. The rooms were clean and although we only had partial ocean view, the view of the park was nice. The breakfast room was a bit packed, but the food was good. The staff was very helpful, and the short walk to the beach and several restaurants made it a very convenient spot for our first time to Rio.

The walls are really thin. We could hear the room next door. The air conditioning unit was really noisy. The shower was also really confusing to operate. They only provided thin sheets for sleeping.

Had a wonderful stay. The staff here are amazing - very helpful, they go above and beyond. Special thanks to Mikail at the front desk who was fabulous. The location is perfect . Security is very good . Breakfast is excellent. Truly a 5 star stay

Staff members were very nice, so close to the beach you can actually hear the waves at night.

This is definitely not a four star property. The location is great and restaurant staff at breakfast - which is good- are friendly. However, our bed had sand in it so doubtful our sheets were properly cleaned but we were very tired upon checkin and just made do. Front desk staff not very friendly and lady who checked us in seemed pretty indifferent. I’m sure for the cost, there are much better hotel options.

overall, it was a good experience. There are a few things like the bathroom was Old and the Aircon was noisy but generally it was a nice hotel.

We would gladly stay at the Arena Ipanema again. Hotel modern, great location, excellent customer service with staff all welcoming and who went out of their way to help. Really nice breakfasts In their excellent restaurant, where we also took lunch and dinner. Rooftop bar provides good views.

No complaints by me. It’s a very central hotel. The rooms are a bit dated, but they’re clean and comfortable and that’s perfect for me. The front desk staff are very kind and helpful. The breakfast gets very busy so get there early to get the best pic of all the food. I didn’t really have any problems other than the fact that you have to buy the water in the mini bar. There’s no other way to get drinkable water. Water is needed to stay alive so I think at the very least a hotel should give you drinkable water without buying it extra but I didn’t complain too much about that. There’s a grocery store up the street too, and I went and bought some large bottles of water there.

Outstanding!! What a great stay at Hotel Arena! First it was very safe: this was our top priority in choosing a place to stay. The security guard inside the hotel did a fabulous job making sure only guest came inside. Outside the grounds a large police presence was constantly surrounding the hotel. Second the staff was amazing. Sara checked us in and was able to get us into our room earlier than the checkin time smoothly and very welcoming. Third our room was beautiful, comfortable bed and pillows. Our house keeper was fantastic and kept our room nice and clean. Also we had a quiet stay no problem with sound from neighboring rooms Fourth the morning breakfast was fresh and delicious with an attentive staff that constantly upkept the food. Finally the location is ideal for seeing Copacabana, Arpoador, and Ipanema just perfect. I Highly recommend choosing Arena Ipanema hotel. My wife and I look forward to our next visit here. 😀👏🏖🌴😎🌊

The location of the property is convenient. I did not really use the facilites as the gym is very limited and cramped and the pool is more of a cold plunge. Breakfast is quite good but the room is too small for the number of guests at peak times. The room was clean but the air conditioning is too cold even when set to a higher temperture. The room has USB sockets but no plugs except in the bathroom. As my phone, like many modern phones, charges via USB-C I could only charge it in the bathroom which was annoying as I also use it as an alarm.

Everything was great except for the pool. Despite being on a top floor the water looked more green than the ocean and it was not very inviting…

The hotel is average, nothing more. Room felt small, bathroom hot and steamy with little space to hang towels, wet clothing and no balcony space. Whilst it met our basic needs after 3 days I grew fed up with the lack of space and dim lighting. You could hear some noise early mornings which woke us prematurely a few times. Breakfast was chaotic. The dining staff went above and beyond to help but they need new facilities; both coffee machines broke twice, the fresh orange machine once, the cereal dispenser required the staff to adjust it’s broken handle three times in one morning to work. The dining space cannot cater to the amount of diners at 9am. It was mayhem & quite frankly survival. To top it off for 3 days one life was out of service resulting in us using the fire exit. Passable but not ideal or a holiday experience.
