Location is wonderful with a setting right on the waterfront. Community kitchen is likely helpful for many travelers. That being said, pay careful attention to whether you have a private bathroom in your room as not all do. We had issues with plumbing in our room that were not resolved during our stay. And bummed that we were told to have live music Fridays and Saturdays in the pub below but it wasn’t happening the Friday night we were there.

Easy stay at Corran house.

The room had everything we needed, it was quaint & convenient. The kitchen / breakfast setup was perfect for doing our own cooking and purchasing just what we needed - a few eggs. I look forward to staying again the next time I’m in Oban!

Gorgeous view, excellent location. Walkable to train station, shopping, dinning. Our whole family was able to stay in a private room. Kitchen and common area were the cleanest we stayed at. Again, the sunset view from our room was amazing! Highly recommend.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. I particularly liked being able to use the spacious communal kitchen with all its equipment. Only down side was the climb up several flights of stairs to the attic room. Next time I'll remember to request a room on a lower level.

Excellent stay - really enjoyed. Lovely atmosphere, clean and well run. Very comfortable beds! Would use again.

On checking in, the staff member was very helpful and carried our suitcases to the first floor for us. The room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. Just a short walk from town so very convenient. Not so good, the extractor fan in the toilet was very noisy and went on for ages. The noise from the bar downstairs went on until very late.

The Guest house was good value with well stocked kitchen. My room was of a good condition and layout. The only issue I had was my shared bathroom was down one level requiring me to lick my room each time I used it. Overall great location, reasonable price, excellent staff.

Nice and cosy and clean with excellent shared facilities of bathroom, kitchen amd lounge area and nice bar serving good food under the guest house. Perfect location.

Stayed 2 nights with 2 grown sons in separate private rooms. No private parking. Public metered parking is limited. No elevator and no fire safety exits. Stuffy and bit moldy. Beds were comfortable and bar underneath has great food. I would not recommend.

I had a twin en-suite. Which I’m grateful for. En suite was well appointed, appears recently refurbished and clean. Room also was nice. Check in routine is odd. Don’t bother turning up short while before the allotted check in time. You will just be corralled and kept in the bar - where strangely you have to check in, instead of the hotel itself - until 3pm check in. Which is really awakeard if you have large bulky luggage. I saw a number of other confirmed or prospective guests visibly annoyed about lack of [getting] service up in the hotel reception area. And you’ll likely feel obliged to buy a drink or two. Also, don’t believe if you are told you won’t hear the music from the basement bar because “rooms aren’t directly over the bar”. You will. Until 1am, most nights. (For reference I was room 3, lowest one on stairwell). But Staff are friendly and helpful enough though which is always nice. And Oban as a location always helps offset these accommodation oddities to some degree.

The heater in the room did not work and was not fixed until moments before we had to check out.

Amazing location, nice room, and the view from room 33 family suite was a panorama of the sea. Highly recommend.

Charming guesthouse facing the esplanade. Convenient to all amenities within a short walk. Communal kitchen was awesome. Fully stocked. Rooms were a good size. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Parking next to the building was £9 for the day or £1 per hour.
