Pros:
- Very close to Pasar Seni Station Hub (LRT/MRT/Bus)
- Surrounded by Central Market, Petaling Street, trendy cafes, Rex KL Bookstore, and legendary food
- Daily cleaning, free bottled water, and iron/board available on every floor
- 24h laundry and KK mart nearby.
Cons:
- Thin walls (not soundproof)
- No mini-fridge and only 3 TV Channels
- A bit of a mystery: there is a constant "welcome chime" sound (like a shop entrance bell) that rings until late at night, some reviews suggest it's from a nearby temple, but it doesn't sound like it
- Also be aware that the main hotel door is locked from 04:30 AM to 06:00 AM
My tips for Future Guests:
# Door Check
The automatic door closers a bit slow. Always double-check to ensure your door is tightly shut before leaving
# Room Hack
Request a window facing the station for a beautiful night view
# Dining Times
Most cafes and legendary food spots in Chinatown do not operate 24/7. Many close by 10:00 PM on weekdays, so make sure to get your dinner before then
# Safety First
When walking at night, avoid dark and quiet alleys. There are quite a few homeless people around Pasar Seni Station area (Bus Hub and near exit to Travelodge Hotel), Jalan Hang Kasturi (near Lavana hotel), and Jalan Tun HS Lee (near temple) at night. Stay on the main, well-lit streets just to be safe.
