Room was amazing, very clean and spacious and very comfortable. The staff were all polite and helpful but Adam looked after us really well. Despite being run off his feet, he always had time for us and ensured we had everything we wanted. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay.

The stay here was magnificent, the rooms were even better than we anticipated, there is nothing to note down about this hotel. The atmosphere flows from the time you check in and shown to your room, the drawing room to sip late night drinks in front of a fire. To taking you down for dinner. Nothing is rushed everything is relaxed and enjoyable

Room was spotless and one of our favourites, staff are so friendly and helpful. We love celebrating our wedding anniversary at the castle. We have been going for 8yrs now.

A wonderful suite in the castle. The castle is wonderful. The staff are really friendly. An added bonus is the free tour of the castle, going into the history of the place and the owners overf the centuries.

Good food and drink options. Spectacular accommodation in the tower.

The hotel is very cosy - the lounge in the evening is just so special! The rooms are very comfortable, the beds great, the bathrooms very clean and nicely designed. The original gothic features everywhere are fantastic and the ambience is fairytale! The staff are great, welcoming and very professional (thanks, Tom, for the tour!). Food is excellent. The location is very convenient for local excursions, and the road is good with easy access. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back!! (Drove 300 miles all the way from London to experience this!.

Had a lovely two night stay. We loved the size of our bedroom and fabulous bathroom! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The grounds were lovely and the guided tour of the castle is a must do. In terms of tiny tweaks nuts and seeds at breakfast perhaps as part of granola, minor issue and of course a personal health preference. Dinner was good but in our view not fine dining but tasty. We had one meal in and one out. We will be back!

Beautiful castle and grounds. In-castle room was GREAT. Most rooms are not in the castle.

Loved the decor & history of the hotel/castle. The free tour after breakfast was an added bonus. The only downside was the awful shower curtain over the bath.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Both Tommy and Tom in the bar were excellent.

The property is beautiful and well kept. One young man did not seem to know the menu to assist in our selection but was kind & willing to find out what was needed. We must not have understood the room selection since I had planned on a night “in” then castle & instead had a room view. Sort of ruined the point of staying with you. I was disappointed. The accommodations were wonderful, room beautiful, comfortable and luxurious.

The property is beautiful. The staff were very helpful during check in. Our room was in the Castle View Lodge and was very nice. The meals - dinners and breakfasts- were fabulous. The tour of the castle was very interesting and informative.
