I really enjoyed staying at Cameo. Stayed there three times in April/May 2025 while I was at my dive instructor course and tried out a new room every time. I loved the different themes the different rooms had, way more interesting than staying at a brand hotel chain where everything looks the same. The staff contacted me before every visit with information about my room, parking and more. The breakfast was served at the cafe next door and was decent, nothing that I really missed. The price for the room was fair, to live in the center of the city and not pay so much isn't a given. I stayed there off season though so I don't know the prices in the middle of the summer. I will most likely stay here once again when I get back to Ystad.

Nice place to stay. Fabulous location. The hotel’s decor has an antique look, with many old books (or reprints of old books) in the rooms and in the hallways.

A tiny room with a toilet in one corner and the shower in the another. That is, you have to cross the entire room to walk from the toilet to the shower. Not an issue for all but we found it inconvenient. There are many decorations in this tiny room so there is almost no room left to store your belongings. The breakfast in the cafe nearby is okay, but the experience was quite crude.

Great place to stay! Walking distance to just about everything. Johan makes sure you are taken care of during your visit. Have stayed here each time I've been to Ystad and will gladly stay here again.

Nice staff with a great free breakfast. There are also cookies in their lobby which was a good night snack. Room was good size, bigger than some rooms I stayed at while in Europe. The only thing odd was the bathroom layout. Shower and toilet were in their own rooms. I would describe it more like a powder with a detached shower. The shower only had glass doors so if you are staying with someone, they could see you through the frosted glass. Good location, seemed very central.
