We absolutely loved our stay at Cliff Hall Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by the lovely owners, who couldn’t have done more to make our stay special. The views from the hotel are simply incredible. We found ourselves sitting and taking it all in for hours—it was so beautiful that we hardly felt the need to go down to the beach! Waking up to those stunning sea views was such a treat. The food was delicious throughout our stay, and everything about the hotel had such a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. It’s one of those places that feels like a home away from home. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We left with amazing memories and can’t wait to come back. We would highly recommend Cliff Hall Hotel to anyone visiting Shanklin!

I had the pleasure of DJing a wedding in the gardens at Cliff Hall, and the views across Sandown and Shanklin Bay were absolutely stunning. The gardens themselves were beautiful and provided a perfect setting for the day. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and couldn’t do enough to assist the guests, organisers, caterers, photographer, and myself. A fantastic venue, run by friendly people.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cliff Hall! From the moment we got in touch, our hosts Deborah and Brendon were amazing — they helped us with the booking process, selecting the perfect rooms for each family in our group of 16, and even assisted with ferry bookings to make our trip completely stress-free. They also gave us excellent local restaurant recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. The hotel itself felt very homely and spotless, with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that made us instantly comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious every morning, with plenty of choice for both adults and kids. The property is beautifully kept, with phenomenal views and a tranquil garden that was perfect for relaxing while the children played. Deborah and Brendon also made a real effort with the children, which made the stay even more special. What really made the difference was the hospitality — Deborah and Brendon are truly exceptional hosts who make Cliff Hall feel like a home away from home. It’s a gem for families visiting the Isle of Wight, and we will definitely be back!

Nothing but praise to Debbie and Brendan for hosting us at this lovely venue. Ideal if you have any children. A filling breakfast is offered with a wide array of options. The hotel bar is also very welcoming. The hotel garden has a beautiful view to unwind after an enjoyably day on the Isle of Wight.

Deborah & Brendon were such lovely welcoming hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast every morning was great, with a good selection. The hosts always gave us advice/places to visit, which was super helpful, especially on the rainy days! The location is perfect, lots of food places within walking distance. Couldn't fault the room, had everything we needed. Would 100% stay again.
