This was our favourite stay while in Iceland. The cabins were well stocked and quiet, the right distance from town to feel removed. We were able to cook basic meals and we loved having access to a hot tub and sauna. Wouldn’t change a thing. It was lovely!

We had such a lovely stay in this cottage. It’s so cozy and welcoming, the view is absolutely breathtaking, and the owner’s cat and dogs are so friendly, reminds us of our dog back at home. We’ve stayed at a lot of places in the world, and kalda is definitely one for the books! Only wish we could stay a bit longer

This was a beautiful little cottage/cabin! The owner took great care to make us so comfortable and welcome. She personally prepared breakfast for us and left it in the fridge all ready for us. This was our favorite place we stayed in our 10 days in Iceland!

We had a lovely relaxing couple of days and were made to feel so welcome! We loved all the thoughtful little touches and attention to detail in the lodge. On a clear night we were able to stargaze and see the northern lights from the hot tub and our porch! Wish we could have stayed longer!

This was a cozy and comfortable cabin located in a quiet setting. The cabin was well appointed with cooking and eating ware. Asdid (our host) was friendly and helped us with our needs. Wi-fi was good.

What more can be said about Kalda Lyngholt Holiday Homes that already hasn’t been said?! This was hands down the best accommodations in our weeklong stay in Iceland! Ásdís was an extremely warm host and accommodated us with the sauna, jacuzzi and even did our laundry! Did I mention the homemade biscuits and yougurts?! The cottages are very clean and beautifully decorated and had a very warm and inviting character. Plus, the view is absolutely amazing! This was my favorite stop on our 10 day Ring road tour. The host, the cabin and the property are all wonderful. Nestled in the woods with lots of hiking trails nearby, including the one to Dettifoss. Sauna and hot tub were private and welcome after several long days on the road. While there, I already started to plan when to come back and spend more time at that cottage!

This was by far the best place we stayed on our tour of Iceland. The hostess was very helpful and the little chalet perfect with everything we needed there’s even a waterfall in the grounds. We also had a very sunny stay, sunbathing on the deck in the early evening.

This was far & away my favorite place to stay during our Iceland road trip and I wish we ciykd’ve Stayed longer. Gorgeous location and EXCELLENT customer service! The owner anticipated all our needs and wants and made us feel very welcome. Her attention to detail was amazing. She put together a delicious breakfast with homemade jam, emailed directions to our next destination, etc. also best nught’s Sleep of entire trip since my friend that snores had her own room (I had the sofa Ed and it was very comfy!). Great stay! Highly recommend!

We stopped in this area during our 12-day tour of Iceland. The hosts could not have been any nicer.

Our stay was wonderful. The location is perfect. Very peaceful with a waterfall you can walk to. The sauna & hot tub is a special treat. Owner supplies robes & slippers for comfort. The view is amazing. We would rate the hospitality more stars if we could.

Gorgeous spot in the woods; lovely hostess; all the small touches in the cabin made us feel right at home. So unlike most of the stark hotels in Iceland. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. Absolutely wonderful.

This was a special treat. Cozy cabin with lots of special touches to make the guests feel welcomed. Secluded location with view of the water. Loved the sauna and hot tub that was available. Very friendly host. Highly recommended.

Amazing cabin. Great view

Kalda Lyngholt was an amazing place to stay. The cottage was really cute with alot of nice personal touches and it had everything that you would require. There were 3 of us each with a large luggage so it did feel abit small at times. But this was just a small issue as the positives far outweighed the negatives and I wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again when I'm back in the area.
