The hotel was clean , friendly staff

First visit to Bowes incline and won't be the last.If it was on 4 in bed program I could be hyper critical on a couple of issues but I'm not.I always give a fair and balanced review's and this is what I'm doing,first impression of hotel was clean and well maintained,staff on reception were friendly and welcoming explained breakfast set up and evening meals.rooms are small but cozy for two and well appointed .can get a bit noisy in morning when people going for breakfast with doors banging.breakfast is well above average and again service is friendly and relaxed, decent portions of hot food and good selection of cereals etc.Evening meals in pub are reasonable and bigger portions than expected,again good service and friendly staff.its a really cozy clean place that we would definitely re visit.Its very close to the A1 but we didn't find traffic noise a issue, plenty of parking and we really enjoyed our stay it has just the right balance of everything we enjoyed.

We had a wonderful break at this beautiful property. The room was beautiful. The staff so very friendly and efficient. The food was amazing and portion sizes huge. Loved it.

The entrance to check in was not obvious from the outside when we arrived and the hotel is isolated in its location. However, staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Beautiful hotel rooms are well kept and in excellent condition. The food in the bowes incline is the best around I could have stayed at a relatives house but wanted to eat and have a drink here - delicious!

A great small hitel

The parking is good but would benefit from a couple of electric charge points being added. Great staff and nice clean rooms. As per my last stay, the room was stone cold and even though there is a radiator, you can’t control the heating within the room. There also should be a bottle of water in the room. Quite nice evening meal and a OK breakfast.

Large car park. Rooms was spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. Great value for money.

Overall, an excellent stay. Plenty of car parking, very friendly and courteous welcome on check in and from everyone, room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with good facilities. Property is right next to the busy A1 dual carriageway, but you wouldn't know it inside with the windows closed. Only negative for me was having to preorder breakfast the night before, including time and even tea or coffee! Whilst understanding it is much more convenient for the property that way, I do not necessarily know what I will fancy after a night's sleep. That said, the breakfast was truly superb (as was the evening meal the previous evening)

Stayed in the suite, it's a large, 'family room' clean with a nice ensuite. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great 👍👍

Stayed at this hotel more times than I can remember. Home from home. Excellent food, friendly staff.

All was fantastic. Definitely stay again.

Everything was excellent apart from when we returned the bar was closed at 10.30 and couldn’t get a drink
