Breakfast was good. No AC

The room was lovely and very large. The downfall was that the air conditioning was not turned on yet and the room was unbearably hot. We were provided a fan that helped. We opened the windows to cool the room down before sleeping, but we could not leave it open due to the extremely loud street noise. The bathroom is huge, but offers very little storage for shaving kits or personal hygiene products.

What an amazing place and we wish we would have had more time here. Beautiful room and location was great. Staff answered every question with a smile. Just Barry here if you can!

This is an awesome hotel! Right beside the Opera House and the decor is great. I highly recommend!

Having read some of the reviews prior to the holiday, I was a little unsure what to expect. However, there's really no need to worry - so long as your expectations are in line with the price range. If you're expecting a 5-star Berlin Ritz type experience, you may wind up feeling a little underwhelmed. If, however, you're expecting quaint, old world charm and you're happy with some minor quirks (such as the reception being on the 3rd floor and breakfast being served in the adjacent restaurant) then you'll love it. The staff were great; really warm, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were cleaned every day (despite some reviews saying otherwise) and the location is great. Overall, we'd have no hesitations in coming back.

Nice property

We loved the upgrade to the suite. Didn’t know about the movie filming the last day but that worked out too. We enjoyed talking with Laszlo at check in. Breakfast was incredible.

This hotel was just wonderful in every way, the decor, the large room, the location, the tranquility, and the staff.

The room was very clean and our view of the Opera House from our room was beautiful…the staff was very helpful and attentive. The attached restaurant has a great complimentary breakfast.

Lovely room (junior suite) with all amenities you would want for a lovely stay in Budapest. Breakfast was a pleasant assortment of hot and cold in a remarkable restaurant right next door to the hotel. Lovely bathroom with heated floor and perfectly hot and powerful shower (very much appreciated in January Budapest temperatures!). I highly recommend Callas Hotel for a pleasant, quiet and trouble free stay in the very central heart of the city.

Everything was very nice

Location was excellent. Staff were very pleasant. The included breakfast was good, the croissants were amazing. Room was nice, the bed was too hard for us but that's a personal preference.

Excellent hotel at the heart of Budapest.

Two balconies, beautiful views of the Opera House, spacious, stylish, grand old building. Friendly staff and perfect location!

The room and staff were lovely until Thursday night when apparently there was a club below, very loud music and bass until early into the morning, got not sleep before an international flight the next morning. The hotel could have provide some information before hand, too nice of a hotel for that.

Very quaint property right beside the Opera House

Clean room, very cozy. Hotel is close to shopping and Christmas markets. You can walk everywhere around the city and tons of restaurants nearby.

You cannot find a place like this hotel anymore. Great building, period room/suite with solid wood accents, and period armoire. Amazing view from large window of the Budapest Opera House. Close to the Rodéo Drive of Budapest with Gucci, Omega, Rolex stores. Adjacent to cozy bars and pubs featuring Hungarian dishes as well as all others. BUT, most appealing was the receptionist/conciege tandem of Laslo and lidikó. Beyond helpfu, beyond friendly, their responsiveness and timely introductions to Budapest made the start of our 50th anniversary travel memorable.

We loved the Callas House! The rooms are gorgeous and extremely spacious. We enjoyed the morning breakfast, but also dined at the cafe for dinner, which was quite good. It’s a perfect location for sightseeing. And, what could be more magical than being literally next door to the Opera House?

I booked a city view room online only to get a king with skylights. Charming older hotel.
