Good location in the heart of the city. Very nice cooked breakfast at reasonable rate.

Room didnt reflect the photos, they are dated and bed was uncomfortable. The pub was lovely and modern.

The location is excellent, right in the city centre close to shops, restaurants and bars.
Staff were nice and helpful and the bar and food good.
The room was spacious and clean but lacking a bit of maintenance but it didn't put us off.
We stayed 2 nights and we had a nice time.

Fast and friendly check in.
Large clean room with coffee & tea making facilities.
Complimentary toiletries.
Well placed hotel for exploring the area.
Hot ample breakfast for £9-95 each.
Room 4 was very hot. Windows didn’t open. A large fan was provided but it was very noisy.
Mattress in room 4 was lumpy & needed replacing.
However overall great stay. And we would recommend staying here.

Great location & lovely staff. Bar & restaurant are nice & food excellent. Room was spacious & generally clean but tired & in need of some TLC. No USB points so take a plug. Bathroom ok but areas of mould, missing grout from floor tiles & extractor fan was thick with dust. Beware - hot water is scalding! Bath towels are quite small & thin, would take own if staying again. Stairs up to rooms do smell bad & stair carpet quite worn. Room was quite cheap for Chester but probably wouldn’t stay again.

Perfectly good accommodation and a lovely breakfast for an extra tenner each. Street noise and a loud snorer were the biggest bummer. Good value.

Find someplace else is my advice.
Great location to the Chester Cathedral & that’s the best I can say. Reception couldn’t bother welcoming me, except to hand me my room key. I’m 72 years ago & I had to carry a bag up three flights of stairs with no offer of assistance. The carpet on the stairs & in the hallways is dirty, stained, frayed in places. Room was good size but no outlets to plug in a phone - had to unplug a lamp. No outlets in bathroom to plug in a hair dryer or curler so once again had to unplug a lamp to dry hair - without the aid of any mirror nearby to help style. Finally - bed mattress was so used it was severely concave in the center, making it impossible to sit up & read or watch the minuscule TV on the far away wall - your body just falls to the center of the bed!

The Coach house inn is centrally located, was in a good location to explore chester but may get noisy in the drier months. The room was pleasent enough although it could do with touching up here and there and the shower head needs a de-scale. The mattress in the room requires replacing as it wasnt very springy so after a while was a little uncomfortable.
The bar was pretty good although we only used it once.
