Had such a fantastic one night stay at the middle house. From the moment we walked in there was a friendly welcome for us all including our dog. The room was ready and was so clean. Smelt amazing when we walked in so fresh. There were lovely little touches for our dog including bowl, and doggie prosecco. We asked if we they had gluten free options in the menu to find that basically the whole menu was gluten free nearly - amazing as I’m coeliac - one of the owners is too so felt safe. We had a fantastic 3 course evening meal they were all really well presented and delicious. Breakfast was equally as good with fantastic gluten free selection. We will most definitely be back and evening passing through will stop for food. All areas of the hotel are spotless and the attention to detail was fantastic you can see how hard the guys who own this place work and it shines through. The area it is situated in is beautiful too - we had never been to this area of Yorkshire before.

Perfect stay! Room was clean and spacious with friendly staff and a great restaurant. Walk straight out to scenic walks in the dales. Will be sure to return!

Lovey nice clean hotel. Breakfast is excellent and we had an evening meal also which was very good . Nice garden at the back to sit and have a drink in full sun. Room was nice and clean lovely and warm and a shower and nice bath for a soak after a long walk. Couple of pubs across the road and a nice walk to a waterfall.

Our second visit to the Middle House. The rooms are lovely and spacious, very clean. Friendly staff, with a cozy bat and good food at restaurant.

Everything was clean and spotless and tastefully furnished. A VERY comfortable stay.

Outstanding

The menu provided a great selection of locally produced ingredients. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the choice of drinks on offer. The room was very comfortable and we, including our dog,were made to feel very welcome.

Lovely accommodation, newly decorated, great service

The whole experience was A1 . Nice bar, good wine and beer, had a superb diner in the restaurant, and great breakfast the following morning Staff were attentive and friendly.

The owners welcome was warm & friendly, the newly refurbished room was clean & comfortable, the food was excellent. Will definitely return

Cozy, comfortable accommodations in a sweet, peaceful town

We had a great one-night stay, the building had tons of character and the room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

A lovely hotel. Interesting characterful room. Nice friendly staff and a delicious evening meal in the bar. We enjoyed a little walk round the village. There was a lovely village store which sells everything! An art shop, flower shop, tea room and a beautiful church. All surrounded by stunning scenery..

Traditional B&B. Delicious breakfast. Local pub had excellent food, but pricey. Great overnight stay. Strongly recommend.

What a lovely welcoming hotel in the centre of the village. Our dog had his own special treat on arrival of Posh dog wine. This made us all smile. I had let them know it was are anniversary and we also had a lovely surprise in our room. But oh my goodness the food it phenomenal from breakfast to lunch and then dinner WoW! Thank you for making our stay so lovely. We will be back

Excellent service. Attentive and friendly staff. Superb meal !! Very well presented and very tasty. Couldn’t fault the food. It was delicious. Clean rooms and pleasant dining room, including outdoor dining. The only negative feedback - the pillows are hard and either too thin or too fat. But the bed was very comfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfy room. Good was good (if a little slow). Would recommend.

Car park a bit tight for my large car, but apart from that good hotel all round.

Been here many times before the new owners took over . Pleased to say the boys are doing a fab job . Decoration bought upto date without spoiling the old y worldly feel to the place . Dog loved it . He even had a bottle of doggy wine left in the room !! Will see us definitely again .
