We came to Suffolk to do some family tree research and Orford was a great place to stay. Although there wasn't dedicated parking, there was always plenty of space in the market square. The village itself is a lovely place to stay, with plenty of places to walk and explore. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and well equipped.

I was really unhappy about the state of the cottage. It was once clearly a lovely cottage. Nicely decorated with quality fittings. But it was dirty and grubby. Starting at the front door. Weeds at the doorstep, dirty windows, cobwebs, grubby carpets, marked walls, dirty coasters, unopened mail in piles, filthy kitchen cupboard shelves, cupboards under stairs full of dirt and untidy, kitchen under sink filthy and stinking, back garden full of weeds, absolutely disgustingly filthy velvet bedspread, grubby cutlery. Thankfully the village is beautiful. We were out all of the time and ate out for every meal. The cottage is neglected and unloved. A real shame. The rental agent have not responded to any of my e-mail.

Great location, both locally and for visiting the surrounding area. Accommodation was of a good standard. My only gripe would be the stipulated late check in and early check-out times - this was made worse by an an offer of slightly better times at an additional cost.
