A small gem on the road Amazing spot if you are OK with a small detour going south - in my case from Gedser-Rostock and going further south. I prioritise these small gems instead of the big bland franchises/chains. The reason? When I find spots like this! Good parking, friendly service, welcoming personnel.

Dinner: "bistro" comes from the French word, meaning "mediocre formula menu of pre prepared meals, served in a dining room of the paint by numbers interior decorating school". Thankfully, this bistro breaks the mold somewhat, though the fit out is a match. The meals are really good quality and well made to order. The service is friendly and as professional as a surgeon...well, tree surgeon, but still very good. The beer works like a kiddie in a coal mine. All in all, it's a bistro that earns the promotion to "restaurant ". And the second visit reaffirms its cred'.

Nice layed back family place with apartment style rooms. You can cook yourself or enjoy the gorgeous kitchen in the restaurant. The place is right at the lake with some kind of 'beach' and green grass between hotel and lake. We keep coming back, here pretty much every year.

Absolutely atrocious. When we pointed out that the cleanliness was not acceptable (there was a used, bloody tampon in one of the trash cans in the bedroom) we got scolded by the manager for being 'picky'. We had small children with us and found the experience to be abhorrent. This place should be avoided at all costs and I sincerely hope authorities will do their diligence and conduct an investigation into this place and its sanitary routines and practises.
