First time in a pod motel, and found it to be surprisingly good. Only criticism I have is the pod area could have been a little warmer.

Good value for the cost, compared to other places for a place to just sleep. Especially when you just need a place to sleep and get up to spend most of your time out and about during your time in Launceston.
I wish that there were more places just like this one to stay and sleep in all around Australia when travelling and exploring. Unlike all of those other backpacker hostel places, where you have no privacy and have to put up with the noise of others during your sleep, especially from snorers.

I booked through a third party, so I missed the information about arrival times. Fortunately, another member of the tour I was on was staying there and knew where to look for access keys. Thank goodness for the staff who left me a key despite my mistake. It was my first pod experience. All the usual hostel experience, but with your own bed space. The location is great and makes it easy to walk around the area.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and private rooms. Central in Launceston.
If you just need an affordable place to rest, relax and sleep while spending most of your time exploring Launceston and its surroundings, I recommend staying in the Pod Inn.

Pods themselves were nice and clean. Bathrooms were not super clean and the showers were only luke warm with poor pressure. Lockers were quite small too.

Cooking facilities were limited to basic s, toaster, kettle, air fryer, egg cooker, and microwave. No oven facility.
Sleeping pods were clean and well equipped.
Communal area was conducive to catching up with fellow travellers or just relaxing

Bit of a 'funky' smell in the pod section. It would be great to have some nilodor or similar to reduce the odour.
Great access to adjacent noodle bar. Very central location. Easy on street parking after hours.

I had a double pod even though it was just me. I found that it was spacious enough that I didn't feel claustrophobic - but if I'd gotten a single one I might have been a bit panicky. With the double, not at all panicky.
It was just a plastic box at the end of the day, but it was fun, private and more than sufficient.
The shared bathrooms were clean and tidy, with basic toiletries for guests to share. I liked that.
I would stay here again if I was traveling alone and just needed somewhere to sleep. iOS perfect for that.
The double capsule measures about 2m in length and 160cm in width. Sitting up in bed there's still about 8-10 inches above your head (I'm 5'6").

My first POD experience and it was a good one. Courteous staff, clean and modern showers, convenient communal kitchen & lounge area. The only thing not thought about is a change room, so when you want to get into your PJ's you have to go to the shower block to change, and there is not much room there! Overall very good, all the fellow PODsters were nice.
