I enjoyed my stay at Lar Antiqua. The hotel is perfectly located, just a stone's throw from the central square, and the grounds are spotless. The staff is kind courteous and helpful and treated me like family. If I ever return to Xela, I'm staying here. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

It was so pretty at night and very walkable to the Central Park!

Quaint hotel a block from the Central Park, built on a steep hill, with an in credible view of the city! Lots of stairs. Room was clean. Only problem was that the water did not drain out of the shower. Staff were pleasant. Quetzaltenango or otherwise known as Xela is a lovely town, marimbas being played on the plaza, friendly people, amazing food! Try the garnachas sold by the street venders- finger licking good! The bread at the panaderías is outstanding!

The staff took the time to assist with finding cultural events.

We spent one night here before a trek and appreciated how quiet and comfortable the hotel was. The room was basic but had absolutely everything we needed and there were nice outdoor areas to sit and relax as well.

You are in for a treat if you stay here. Beautiful views, classic historic property with rooftop lounging area. It is located right in the heart of historic downtown Xela. Todo estuvo perfecto. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly as well.

Room discribed as have a private bath. It did not!

Not the worst place i have stayed in, but... Could not find our Expedia reservation Did not have a towel Did not have water the first night Three flights of stairs to the room-xela is at 7000 feet so stairs are significant Benefits-- close to city center, safe

The rooftop view was spectacular! The help from the staff for arranging transport, guides, hiking trips, food recommendations, was over the top helpful and much appreciated! They know everyone and everything about the region. The location of the hotel in town is also very perfect. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in xela

A nice find! A charming hotel run by a nice family who was so accommodating. The room is small but it had a good wifi and good hot water. There's a little terrace with a nice view. The location is great, too. Walking distance to the main plaza and cathedral and many restaurants nearby. Definitely this is the place we will go back again!!
